45 minutes after the end of Exodus
It wasn’t supposed to be this way, LeeRoy thought to himself. He was supposed to be a good guy. But instead, here he is sitting in this ice bath having smacked Frank in the head with a steel chair. To be fair, it’s not like the prick didn’t deserve it, but it wasn’t the way he wanted to make his WFWF debut. LeeRoy had made a rookie mistake and turned his back after Mike had gone down with a GRUESOME knee injury. LeeRoy thought it was over, but Frank had other ideas.
“Oh well, only up from here” LeeRoy pulled himself out of the ice bath and reached for his towel. He heard a giggle behind him, turned to see a female arena worker scurry away after catching a glimpse of his naked behind. LeeRoy smiled as he wrapped the towel around himself and walked towards his changing area.
“LeeRoy!”
“Yes Miss Sleater?”
“What the Hell are you doing?”
“What do you mean?”
“This isn’t the county fair wrestling association, you can’t just go around hitting people with chairs, especially in a match that isn’t no DQ, you are going to be fined for that, and it better not happen again”
LeeRoy was fuming, but he didn’t say anything and just walked towards the locker room. He could use that money. The whole point of coming to the WFWF was to get out of the moonshining business, which you can’t do if you keep getting fined. He got dressed and hopped into his truck and drove into the night
Two days later
LeeRoy had spent the last day in bed, he couldn’t believe how sore he had been from the match at Exodus, and he had no motivation to do anything, but today had had to go to the gym and get a workout in, So he hopped into his truck and headed to the gym
He thought back to the match at Exodus. Something inside him had just snapped when Frank unleashed his fury. It took LeeRoy back to his childhood. His step father, Jeff, was a mean son of a bitch, especially when he had a bad day at the mines. LeeRoy always knew when Jeff had been drinking after a bad day, and it was bad news if so. Any little thing would set him off, and he always took it out on LeeRoy. The beatings he would get were horrendous. LeeRoy would go to school the next day with the remnants of the beating showing, but LeeRoy was too embarrassed to admit to anyone what was going on, so he would lie. Seeing as he was an active boy and a wrestler, he could come up with some halfway believable stories to deflect attention, and go about his business.
One night, when LeeRoy was in high school, Jeff came home really drunk, and LeeRoy was late from wrestling practice. LeeRoy knew when he pulled in the drive that something bad was happening, and he rushed inside. As soon as he opened the door, he heard a thud followed by his mother’s muffled cry, and the adrenaline burst through his body and he crashed through the bedroom door. Jeff was standing over LeeRoy’s mother, belt in his hand, and LeeRoy’s mother was in the fetal position sobbing and trying to protect herself. That sight was all it took for LeeRoy to snap. He grabbed Jeff around the waist and lifted him up and hurled him into the dresser. Jeff’s look of shock was short lived. “Big mistake boy!” He had said. LeeRoy fumed and unleashed a fury that looking back frightened him. To be honest, he didn’t even really remember what he did, he basically blacked out, but finally came to his senses when his mother was pulling him off of Jeff screaming at him to stop. LeeRoy looked down to see that Jeff was lying in a pool of blood. His nose was completely shattered, and the way his jaw was tilted, LeeRoy was almost positive that he had broken that too.
His mother looked at him with such fear in her eyes that LeeRoy was immediately ashamed. He walked to his room, grabbed his bag and threw some clothes in and left in his truck. He drove to his Dad’s house. He wasn’t home, but LeeRoy had a key and let himself in. He showered and climbed in bed, and was out. When he awoke, his dad still wasn’t home, so LeeRoy poured himself some cereal and turned on the TV. The news anchor was talking about how tragic this was and how something needed to be done about the domestic violence in the county. When they switched to the reporter on the scene LeeRoy’s ears perked up, and suddenly his heart sank. They were interviewing his mother’s neighbor, and she was talking about how good a neighbor his mother HAD been. And then the footage, a swollen and bloody Jeff being crammed into the squad car, screaming about how she had it coming, and how it was her idiot son’s fault.
LeeRoy shook his head and brought his attention to the road. When Frank had unleashed himself on LeeRoy at Exodus he had flashbacked to those memories, and had snapped, which is what led to the chair incident. When the officials pulled him and Dante off of Frank LeeRoy realized he had done it again, and it almost scared him. Maybe he should go see a shrink like Sherry had said. LeeRoy shook his head “Screw that”
The next day
OK Ricky
My name is not Ricky
Whatever
Ok we are rolling
Frank, Frank, Frank…..what were you thinking? Picking a fight with me? You obviously have no idea who you are messing with. You see, where I’m from, we deal with guys like you just like I did. We put them in their place by any means necessary. And when I get done with you at Horizon, that chair shot will feel like a kiss from your momma. Oh, I’m sorry. Too soon? You see Frank, you’re not the only one who has experienced loss. I lost my momma too. But you know what? It made me stronger. I grew from it. You? You’re falling apart. I could see it in your eyes as we fought. You’re just a scared little boy. Scared that it was your fault they died. Scared that you made a mistake coming to the WFWF, and you know what? You did. You made a huge mistake picking a fight with me. I’m not like these other guys Frank. I’m not intimidated by your background in MMA, or about how you ALMOST won the tag titles. You know what they say, almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. I came here to better my life. You? You’re here for the glory. But you haven’t gotten that glory yet have you? And that scares you. Fear. It can ruin a man. But I don’t blame you for being scared. If I were in your shoes and had to wrestle me I’d be scared too. Because I’m strong, and you’ll see that when I actually get my hands on you at Horizon. I’ve been through crap too, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and you didn’t kill me Frank, you only made me stronger, and at Horizon, I’m going to prove just how strong I am
Bottom’s up y’all
Don’t use that, that’s a crap catchphrase, damnit, Lila said I need a catchphrase for merch…nothing sounds right…screw it I’ll figure it out later Ricky
My name isn’t Ricky
Whatever, I don’t care; just use everything until the catchphrase
You got it
