I hope it never returns.
When you look back at the original War Games matches, they were violent, bloody, exciting matches. With the WWE being PG, the War Games match would be bad. No blood, no violence of any kind.
I actually that the WWE would get rid of all those gimmick matches. They don't live up to the hype they once had when they could get away with a lot more bloodier and violent things in the match itself.

I'm more interested in the Midnight Rider mask.

They should bring it back but in their own way. Keep 1 ring, have it 4 on 4 or 5 on 5 and just use the Hell in a Cell to surround the ring.

If they're gonna do it now, I say do it as the main event of Survivor Series as a Raw vs SD.

Remember the Asylum match we all hoped would be a bit more violent since it was basically a ripoff of TNA's Lethal Lockdown? Remember Dean Ambrose fighting Brock Lesnar in a Street Fight with the build-up containing all kinds of weapons and a chainsaw?
Now imagine War Games.

War Games in a PG setting would be awful. They freak out and ruin matches with the sight of blood now. It would be just as bad as all the HIAC matches have been. You can't do matches like that in a non violent era.

Doesn't the Elimination Chamber take up a lot of seats too?

As much as I'd like to see some classic WCW concepts make a comeback, this statement above me sums it up perfectly.

I'm more interested in the Midnight Rider mask. That would have been pretty sweet to see imo

I'm not talking about the Brock/Orton cause that was bad.

Ehh, everything's watered down now. I want them to make a new match of some kind, a new contraption. Give us something new!

The match would of been horrible, because of no violence and no blood.

From a production standpoint, the WWE takes up a ton of seats with their setup now. Granted the new stage is smaller and they can actually open up the 3rd tier (if there is one) in some arenas. They also take up the entire 3-4 first rows of the hard camera side for all of the foreign announcers. They take up space in the back of the arena for the pre/post show set. And now they're taking up space where the RAW announce team sits. They could literally add thousands of seats back into circulation if they scale down the massive set.

Fall Brawl and World War Three were my two favorite WCW PPVs. I hope they bring those back in the future

I feel like Kevin Dunn was the one to turn this one down.

If the WWE ever decided to bring back WarGames, it should not be because they ran out of gimmick matches to use as the Main Event and as the name of the PPV. I don’t want to see 4 separate feuds tied together to make the 8-on-8 match. For example, I wouldn’t mind seeing Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and Big Cass) vs. Team Smackdown (Dean Ambrose, A.J. Styles, Dolph Ziggler, and a mystery partner (that partner being John Cena)) as this year’s Survivor Series Main Event, but not in “The Match Beyond”. The double ring cage match should be saved for warring factions.
The New Nexus vs. the Corre could have saved these two factions…maybe not.
CM Punk and The Shield vs. Daniel Bryan and the Wyatt Family would have been perfect.
The League Of Nations vs. The Social Outcasts would have worked, and if the Outcast’s would have won that match, the upset victory would have been tremendous.
John Cena and the New Day vs. Finn Balor and the Club (including A.J. Styles) could work today.
Blood or no blood, just seeing two rings connected to each other and surrounded by a giant cage would bring back memories for the older people, and amaze the younger people.

The WWE has been in the same bubble for years so they really need to do something different.
I don't care if there is blood or not all I want is a change.
