Thanks Michigan. For a 2nd year in a row, you screw us over by losing. Ohio State's about to be #2 but won't make it to their own championship game. Going to be a very interesting close to the season. Just how much will those conference championships matter to the committee? Unless Bama loses a game before then, and their championship game, not a lot. That, of course, means we are assuming everyone else remains on course after this monumental disaster of a weekend. PAC-12 is officially dead in the water this season with that Washington loss though.

#2, #3 and #4 all go down. I'm guessing OSU and Louisville make the Top 4 with one of the 3 losing teams staying in.

Going to be a very interesting close to the season. Just how much will those conference championships matter to the committee? The Champions will still fill out the top 4 unless "underdogs" win the Title game. Bama wins out & beats UT/UF in SEC Title game. Mich, OSU, Penn St one of the likely winners of the Big10 Clemson wins out & beats Va Tech in ACC Title game The 4th spot is where its going to be tricky. Louisville can make a claim with a win over FSU but their SOS is honestly garbage. One of the 2 remaining Big10 teams that doesnt win their conference could make a claim but that might stir up some arguments. Honestly the likelihood is Washington still fills out the spot. If they win out they're going to finish their season with wins over Top 25 Washington St and likely Top 10-15 Colorado. Two late wins over top teams are likely to boost them to the 4th spot. Remember the committee did say that while its overall body of work, they're also going to look at it in a week by week scenario.

AP shook out about how I expected. I hope Penn State gets some love by the committee.

Surprised by Michigan staying at 3. But I suppose they've overall looked more dominant in their wins than Clemson and Washington have and Louisville's schedule isn't helping them.
Colorado getting bumped to 10 certainly helps Michigan. Lots of Big 10 love (and not without reason, probably the strongest looking conference this year). Ohio State wins out and it's looking harder and harder to keep them out. Committee possibly keeping that in mind because I'm sure they'd like them in there when it's time for the final four. Both because of how good they look and because they'll bring in the ratings.

Glad Louisville is done. Dont deserve to play nobodies all year long and play for a Nat'l Title.

I consider Louisville to be my #2 team and I generally like to see them do well, but my actual team could probably use a little chaos to shake things up a bit, plus Tom Herman got us a championship, so I'll always wish him the best. Last night was fun.

Texas should become bowl eligible this week, playing Kansas
If we beat TCU and whomever our bowl opponent is, Strong should get another year
We have really improved the last few games, and outside of Cal and Kstate, we have lost to good teams

I'm sure everyone is going to say that Lamar Jackson's Heisman hopes took a hit last night, but I don't really know who is even that close to him in the race. Then again, Fournette was miles ahead of everyone else last year and it ended up in Derrick Henry's hands so who knows.

Question for you guys. Where do you think Connor gets drafted out of Pitt? What round? This is a very RB heavy draft, normally I'd say a lot higher than he will go. Curious.

Bummed the Vols won't win the sec east, but they've been fun to watch this year.

Next Saturday the wife and I are doing Thanksgiving with her family at our place so I hope they're all ready to take a backseat to Michigan/OSU.

Next Saturday the wife and I are doing Thanksgiving with her family at our place so I hope they're all ready to take a backseat to Michigan/OSU. I'm pumped for GameDay in Columbus. The whole family always comes in for Thanksgiving when Michigan plays here and we usually go to the Skull Session anyways, so I imagine we'll head down to campus bright and early to take part in the fun. We'll see how the game goes. Michigan State rose to the occasion against Michigan and I expected the same from them this week. This was basically their bowl game. I knew they'd show up ready to play and ready to open up the playbook. Crappy weather seems to be our kryptonite. Closer than I'd like, but a W is a W. This coming game is when we really need to make our statement for the committee.

Bummed the Vols won't win the sec east, but they've been fun to watch this year. Good news is they're still likely to play in the Sugar Bowl. LSU should drop behind them in the polls. Auburn should drop behind them after they lose to Alabama and Florida should drop behind them after they lose to Alabama. That would put UT as the 2nd highest ranked SEC team and *should* put them in the Sugar Bowl.
