Would Mattel legally be able to make TNA figures while they make WWE figures? They have said in the past they cannot. It would breach their contract with WWE. I think they can only hold one master toy license for the wrestling industry.

One thing that pisses me off is a "certain website that makes indy/ROH figures" uses the JAKK'S Mold for their figures.

I think one of the reasons I'm losing interest in TNA is because I have no figures to collect. Four figures every six months is better than none ever.
I remember back when I got the first series of ToyBiz TNA figures. I think I ordered them from Ringside! Those were the good old days.

Hopefully having figures on the shelf will help boost peoples awareness of Impact Wrestling. To have a 4 figure set and 2-packs released on a month to month basis would be great.

What about Wicked Cool Toys or Hasbro? In a Dream world, I would have it be Hasbro.

If they do decide to make more TNA figures, I'd want new bodies. Sorry but the DI bodies just aren't really good for playability. Especially the women. My Velvet and Madison move so horribly. Gail Kim isn't as bad and neither is Tessmacher. Some of the guys even move weird. Crimson and Alex Shelley move every way imaginable. I know more articulation is supposed to enhance the playability fun. But not when these guys are doing splits or playing a round of Twister lol. They just look silly.

TNA is available in way less homes now than it was back when they were on Spike and had Jakks making 4-8 repaints a year, so I don't see anybody major wanting to pick up that license. TNA talent should be able to do the same thing that the ROH and indy guys do, those figures aren't great but it's something.

TNA is even less profile than they were when Toybiz and later Jakks were making figures. I do not see any major toy maker even entertaining the idea of doing TNA figures. Back when TNA was still on Spike, I saw a parent at Kmart try to convince their kid that the TNA Jakks figures (Which were discounted to basically half the price of a basic) was just as good as the WWE ones. Kid squashed that idea by saying he didn't know any of those people and wanted a Dolph Ziggler or Undertaker. Probably some unknown group or the figure company we can't talk about might take up the challenge.

If they did, they would have to make a lot of figures of guys who have not yet had figures. I'd like to see something like this as the first series, based upon what is in TNA right now:
- Broken Matt Hardy - EC3 - Sienna - Crazzy Steve (Decay) - DJ Z - James Storm
- Mike Bennett & Maria - Abyss & Rosemary (Decay) - American Wolves
Guys like Drew Galloway, Aron Rex, Lashley, etc. who have been made by Jakks/Mattel already need to take a backseat and slowly be ushered into future series.

I say there is always a possibility. I mean ECW had figures. Actually I loved the ECW line tbh. They caught my eye as a kid because they were different. I think if TNA makes a comeback with figures, their best bet is to try and make guys they haven't already made a dozen times. Sure a Broken Matt and Brother Nero would be Sweeeeet but EC3, Galloway, Bennett and Drake need figures. I'd love to own a Cherry Bo....I mean Allie Tbh we'd see a lot of new, never before made figures if they line started up again. All the guys who Jakks made previously are no longer with the company. Heck even the Knockouts have gotten a drastic change since the line dropped out. We could have an entirely new roster of figures save for The Hardy Boys and Abyss lol. Just let that settle in

Josh Mathews just confirmed on twitter he's taking calls tomorrow regarding some potential new action figures. Looks like this is happening... Given that Jakks has gotten a WWE licence, surely this means Figures Toy Co. or Toybiz? Either way i'd be very happy to get my hands on a Broken Hardy figure!!
