that was a quality show from a wrestling/in-ring perspective.
Tag match was fine. Can Big E please stop doing the suicide dive? don't even attempt it anymore, he's going to kill himself one of these days (see further into my post) I was kinda surprised New Day went over, but maybe they are gonna let them keep the belts for a ridiculous amount of time, who knows. But I did like the element of The Club coming out strong and new day having to kind of cheat to win.
Zayn/Jericho was solid. Both guys worked very well together. I was surprised Jericho won to be honest. I'm not sure where this is all leading.
Cruiserweight match was a little below average IMO. A number of botches, and I don't feel like the crowd was as into it as they were in the CWC. Maybe it's just harder to realize in a large arena. I like that they had Kendrick become a full heel though, the Cruiserweight division does need faces/heels to keep stories and Kendrick is the perfect guy to be the top heel for them.
Cesaro/Sheamus might have had their best match, if not for the crapty ending. I hate stuff like that....like, you already had these guys wrestle 6 times, and you can't figure out a finish? it's LAZY booking and shows their serious lack of commitment towards anyone nowadays. Just give either guy the win and MOVE ON. But nope, gotta have a pretty lame ass finish (really....a clothesline over the railing takes both guys out?) and now we have no idea whats gonna happen except Foley probably orders a re-do so we technically get a best of 8....maybe they'll stretch it to best of 125. I will say, Sheamus & Cesaro have wicked ring chemistry, they really do know how to pull off a damn entertaining wrestling match...
and my point about suicide dives.....
just stop them. all. please. the fact that Cesaro is not paralyzed after that dive is amazing. like everyone on the roster does them now, they aren't that impressive anymore and half the time they look horrendous or the guy almost lands on his head. we need to cut back on the suicide dives for the love of god.
anyway....
US title match was what I expected. Again, Reigns is fine in the ring, that never really should be questioned. The guy knows how to wrestle. But it's the same story over and over again. He's the US champ now...no surprise, so now he'll beat Rusev like 30 more times and then go on to beat Sheamus or something. While each time they sell him as the ultimate underdog powerhouse (even though he's the champion). So one more and Reigns becomes Grand Slam....probably will find a way to get the IC title on him too while they are at it.
Main event was solid. Both guys were just great. This is the kind of title feud I want to see go on for a couple months. Hopefully they let them actually go out and have a match they are capable of having. I didn't mind the russo-ending....it helps Rollins cause to keep fighting and you can't have Owens just dominating of course.
Overall a good show. I still don't get why they can't get a PPV under 4 hours anymore but at leas the wrestling was really good.

Good show tonight. Women's match was the best match of the night in my opinion. That, Jericho/Zayn and the beginning of Cesaro/Sheamus are what I definitely need to re-watch. Was eating/on here during those matches.

and my point about suicide dives..... I think its safe to say that this guy was an innovator for modern day WWE moves after tonight.

The entire show tonight to me just seemed like an episode of Monday Night Raw.
I felt like I seen every match already, or parts of it at least.
The Club are jobbers, I am sure they wish they were still in New Japan.
The cruiser weight match once again did not impress me.
Cesaro vs. Sheamus was the match of the night until they did that crap ending! What the hell was that anyhow?!?!
I am glad Chris Jericho beat Sami Zayn, since I hate Zayn with a passion.
The Women's Title match seemed sloppy and just boring. Somehow Smackdown can put 6 women in a match and make it awesome, but Raw couldn't even get it right with 3?? I guess if they had time to practice in the WWE Training Facility like they had when they were NXT then it probably would have been a good match.
Roman Reigns vs. Rusev started out slow but ended up being good. Roman Reigns can go from having fans boo him in his entrance to them cheering him when he wins. Amazing!
Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins started out slow, and kind of got better, but I was still bored by the end of the match.
I still prefer Smackdown over Raw, and I am actually looking forward to the Smackdown No Mercy PPV in 2 weeks.

Ya know?
I'm pretty damn over Cesaro/Sheamus.........BUT...... If they throw those two in the Cell next month. Good god. That would be AWESOME.
I would prefer those two in the cell over KO/Rollins.
Have Cesaro/Sheamus and Reigns/Rusev be the cell matches next month.
No need to have Rollins/KO in it when they will undoubtedly get another screw job finish. And I'm tired of those happening in the cell.

I wish this were mid 90s era ECW and the fans would start checking their drinks and chairs in the ring when Roman won. I hate, hate, hate, hate the fact that they clearly edit the crowd audio on Roman the boos are loud then quickly dropped, but on rare nights like this the crowd is too loud to over-power. For months this guy gets reactions like this, and its clear that the fans are not behind him. Don't reward him coming off a completely undeserving and slopping championship reign by giving him a new title to trudge through.

You already told us about the match five days ago. You're losing it, old man. - great match or not, the formula for him is exactly the same every single time.....get beat up for 10 minutes, hit your superman punch, kick out of 25 finishers, hit one big finisher and pin your opponent. that might be generalizing but out of the hundred matches Reigns has had in the last year or so i think it's safe to say that 90 of them were that exact same formula.

I didn't watch this show. I'm so bored with Raw these days.
Sounds like I missed nothing, except for Roman winning the US Title. So basically, I missed nothing.

It is nice to hear that Cesaro doesn't seem to be to banged up.

Just watching the show now as I fell asleep before it even began, but as someone posted above, it doesn't seem like I missed much.
— New Day going over the Club is just painful to see. There is absolutely no hope for these guys now, they are just an absolute joke from here on out, never to be taken seriously again. WWE just wasted one of their top teams. There is no reason why New Day should have walked out with the titles tonight.
— Perkins vs. Kendrick seemed pretty sloppy to me, a couple of moves were missed. Glad to see them make Kendrick full fledged heel, but hopefully this match is not the standard for the new cruiserweight division, otherwise they'll lose my interest quickly.
— Sheamus/Cesaro was a good match until the terrible ending. Maybe its a blessing, odds are that now that Roman is U.S. champion we're heading towards a Sheamus/Reigns U.S. Title feud, so maybe its best they don't give me that ending where Cesaro is once again stepped over.
— Jericho/Zayn was a decent match, and Jericho is one of (if not the) best things going on Raw right now. But how many matches can Zayn afford to lose before he's relegated to lower mid-card status. I guess in WWE logic I can just be thankful he's on the show, where as other talented guys like Neville are just forgotten about.
I can't even watch the women's division anymore so I won't comment on the match, Charlotte has just ruined it for me. Ever since Bayley has been brought up (other than beating Charlotte) she has been booked to look like a schmuck. I understand why they had to take the title off Sasha at Summerslam for fear of injury, but now that that's in the past, to me theres no reason why Charlotte is still champion. There's fresher feuds to be had by having Bayley or Sasha as champ. And the cherry on top is that Charlotte is being kept champion to feud with Dana Brooke of all people, who imo is lucky just to be on WWE programming and not back down in NXT. Her acting, wrestling, promos, everything... is just horrific.
— Reigns/Rusev was a good match, glad to see Roman win, I think it was time to see what he can do with the belt. I don't feel like it did anything to hurt Rusev by losing, and Rusev is still absolute gold on Raw. I just fear for a Sheamus/Reigns feud again. Ugh.
— Rollins/Owens was match of the night for me. Felt like the ending was very appropriate and did its job of keeping both guys over. Triple H not showing up was a little disappointing but I'm telling myself to be patient and wait for the end game. I feel like he does need to show up at Survivor Series though and cost Rollins again, just something to keep the feud building to assuming what will be Mania 33. Im interested to see where they go with Owens for the remainder of his run. He clearly was not their choice to be champion, so will he be transitional, or will they make something out of a bad situation and keep him around in the title picture at Mania. Doubt it, but interested to see where it goes.
Overall I felt like it was an average effort for Raw's first PPV. I feel like Backlash definitely topped Raw here once again, but thats not really surprising to me given that Smackdown has been the better show. What continues to surprise me is all the talent Raw has but continues to find ways to screw up. Maybe it shouldn't be such a surprise anymore I guess.

Pretty decent show, I think New Day cheated to win just because WWE wanted them to hit 400 days, I wouldn't be surprised if the Club won the belts on Raw tonight.

I'm surprised so many people enjoyed the show. I thought it was boring and a total cluster . The New Day retaining, yet again, was bullcrap; They need to drop the titles already so that another tag team can benefit from having the belts. The cruiserweight division is off to a bad start. Tonight's match was sloppy. Cesaro vs. Sheamus was good, but the ending completely ruined it for me. WWE continuing this series would be ridiculous. It's a best of 7 series, meaning 7 matches take place. If they're tied at 3 wins a piece and draw in match 7, that means the series is a draw. They can't make an 8th match. Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn was whatever. Kind of match we'd see on Raw. No complaints about the triple threat. The match was entertaining and Charlotte retaining was the right choice. Don't get me ing started on Roman Reigns winning the United States Championship. Jesus Christ. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins was a good match, but I'm tired of the screwy finishes. I think I'm going to watch SmackDown exclusively. I can't sit through this crap anymore.

Just got home from the show and as it was my first PPV since Judgement Day 2000 I had fun....here are my takeaways...
Jesus people got drunk fast....
New Day is MEGA over. A lot of people were confused when Woods heeled out.
Cruiserweight Match in the arena felt....different. Not that they didn't care but more so that we all were hanging on to every move almost like a Japan style match. In the arena there were a lot of whispers during the match and only certain moments got huge reactions.
Jericho and Zayn where solid. Ole chants never really got off the ground but Zayn was hella over.
Cesaro and Shemaus was my food run and from what I heard it was a bad one to go on. I came back right as they did the clothesline over the barricade spot
Woman's match was solid....the place errupted got Bayley. She completely blew Sasha out of the water. The finish felt rushed and a lot didn't realize what happened until her music hit. This was the start of the downfall as a lot of people groaned and some even left after this. Yes people were that upset. Maybe about 20 or 40 or so from what I saw never came back.
Rusev and Reigns....what can I say. It was a decent match but this is what killed us off. Once Lana was thrown out you could feel the boos in the air and we all knew. Roman stayed out as long as he could to celebrate. He was mocking some fans that were thumbs downing him.
Main Event time and we were all drained. Overall I felt this didn't have that big match feeling it should have. Everyone in the arena was buzzing and most thought we would get a Trip cameo. After it was said and done Seth got up to a standing ovation to end the show.
All in all it was a long day but it was fun.
Most over by far was New Day
Most hated by far was Roman.

so... has anyone seen anything on that third guy on the ground at the end of the Sheamus/Cesaro match? The "WWE Officials" just ignored him.

It was a shame Cesaro/Sheamus ended how it did as it far exceeded my expectations. I'm starting to think Anderson & Gallows were just brought in to keep AJ sweet.

Little review and thoughts I had about the show:
1. Gallows/Anderson v. New Day (c): Thought the match itself was pretty solid and thoroughly enjoy the fast/brutal start by the Club, I thought they were gonna squash New Day, but of course the WWE went out of their way to discredit a great team in the Club. I would have bet $100 that New Day lost the titles, and quite frankly I am mad they retained. They have no other heel teams to face and are quickly becoming stale. They should have had them drop the titles and eventually won them back, but thats just me. (**/*****)
2. Brian Kendrick v. TJ Perkins (c): Match was a tad sloppy and slow. I can't say I particularly like Perkins (to me he is bland) but alot of that is WWE not giving these guys some air time before the actual matches kicked off on RAW. I loved that Kendrick attacked post match. They need heels and faces with good personal feuds for this division to work. (**/*****)
3. Cesaro v. Sheamus: This would have been match of the night, until the bubkis ending to the match. If they really were planning on this they should have called one on the fly and ended the match when Cesaro almost paralyzed himself on the dive. It would have been a better spot than a weak clothesline over the barrier (****/*****)
4. Sami Zayn v. Chris Jericho: Very solid match with a great finish. Zayn will almost likely win the feud so it's not a real shocker or something upsetting that he lost to the GOAT lol. It sets up future matches which will only get better. (***/*****)
5. Bayley v. Sasha v. Charlotte (c): Loved the match. At times it got sloppy but for the most part, it was a very very good match. Charlotte continues to shine and the double moonsault was a thing of beauty. I don't understand the flak she gets but Charlotte is the cream of the women's crop. Whoever beats her for the title decisively is going to benefit greatly because of how good of a heel she is. (****/*****)
6. Roman Reigns v. Rusev (c): Solid match, pretty much how I expected it to go. The only thing that keeps me from liking Reigns in the ring is the ridiculous no sells. I understand they are probably telling him to do that, but to get kneed right in the jaw and then power up and hit a full speed spear is totally insulting to me. I know Reigns isn't the only person that does that but I think it is a massive no no, and guys like him Rollins, Owens, Dean, need to stop doing it. (**/*****)
7. Seth Rollins v. Kevin Owens (c): Another very good match, flawed by a crappy ending. The ref barely got hit, but sold it like he got hit by tank. The Jericho interference went on a bit longer than necessary. The real thing here is the backup ref/Steph spot. Notice how the ref was sent to look on the other ref first, which gave Owens enough time to regroup? Steph give an evil stare, almost smirking as she walks away. Enjoying this feud and looking towards the next few matches. (***/*****)
Overall I'd rate this a 2.5/5. It wasn't great but it wasn't awful either. No Mercy should be a killer show
