The rereleases are one of the biggest reasons I guess.

What rereleases? No DM has had a rerelease. There were two exclusives that were released slightly modified that were turned into DM. (SDCC Taker w/pupils and the RSC Austin with the Legends head) and the Elites have had two figures from past Elite waves with two from the Legends lines. So that is a total of six figures out of 45 elite sets, 7 Legends sets, and 7-8 DM sets. So six figures that aren't even straight rereleases out of hundreds of figures shouldn't effect the market.

What has dropped the most is insane when you think about it and how quick it happened. The TRU Vince Mcmahon was racking up easily 130 MOC not too long ago and now your lucky to get 40 bucks for it. Crazy

Why not dude? them groups are entertaining as hell. There's this one character who scolds other members because they say "pm" instead of "inbox". Lol The guy reacts like they insulted his mother haha.

My mom has one and she can't stand all of the notifications since she rarely uses Facebook.

I don't know a lot about the prices for most secondary market figures but a lot of the ones I want are still too expensive. The newer DMs are probably cheaper due to them not being decked out etc. I think the surfer sting would of sold better if it had better part choices and a fabric/cloth jacket etc.

Lots of them and most all of them have a ton of cheap, and if not cheap, very, very fairly priced figures. Loose & MOC

I don't really bother with selling too much anymore. The market is starting to level out. The rerelease figures do not really effect it. It mostly has to do with collectors. Many collectors quit after Jakks (including me). Although, I was busy trying to score and had quit collecting way before the end of Jakks. Regardless, when people started jumping on the bandwagon, figures were in the the teens. I personally didn't start collecting again until 2012. So collectors fight to play catch up, Mattel figures out their sellings are starting to increase, and we are welling into the 40s now. New collectors to the game aren't worried about being completist with on emotional ties to wrestlers they don't know, don't like, and never cared for.
Plus general toy collectors have multiple lines they commit to and when a series is killing it, we have to make choices about the figures we want to define our collections. Personally, I've started to focus my efforts to collect Marvel Legends. I still get wrestling figures every now and then. However, I never pay over retail for any figure anymore.

A few reasons.Popularity in wrestling has dropped significantly. Also retail has been a mess this year They released a on of 39 due to going back to school shopping which wasnt popular instead of 41, so we are clogged with that series and 36 will never go away.

I don't think rereleases are affecting the DM prices. Folks are realizing that asking $145-$200 for the Bret Hart DM and it not selling isn't good business.

Exactly, I only buy Flashback, DM, Exclusives, and figs of Legends (other than the occasional Elite of someone I really like) especially since I started delving more and more into ML.

Whenever I think of secondary market and values, I just think of Beanie Babies and this image: Its of a Husband & Wife sorting their collection in court as part of their divorce settlement. They're probably two of the many that thought their collection was going to be a hidden treasure trove down the line. That craze followed by its crash & burn really showed me that just collect what you like and don't take it seriously and don't worry about the secondary market too much, because nothing lasts forever.
