Whump….whump…..whump…
Albert Robins awoke to hear that sound coming from downstairs. He lived above the gym he had owned since he was in his twenties, and often heard sounds from there at night. He looked at the alarm clock, which read 5:15…his alarm would go off in fifteen minutes, so he went ahead and got up, shutting off his alarm as he did so. The old man threw on a robe and slippers, and shuffled towards the door. He opened it ever so slightly and heard the sound again
Whump…..whump…whump whump…whump whump whump whump
The heavy bag. Albert smiled to himself. It had to be Jenkins. Albert shuffled to the kitchen and got a pot of coffee going. He got out two cups, poured himself some and flipped on the light, and sat down. He knew LeeRoy would be up soon. He always worked the heavy bag when he needed to talk
Albert met LeeRoy several years ago, when LeeRoy was a freshman in high school. LeeRoy’s father, Roy, had been a regular at the gym, and one day he brought in this scrawny, awkward teenager, and introduced him to Albert. Roy had explained to Albert that LeeRoy wanted to join the wrestling team and had come in to start working out.
Most would have looked at LeeRoy and laughed, but Albert saw something in him. Albert himself had been a wrestler in high school and college, and had gone on to be a professional wrestler on the independent scene. So Albert had taken LeeRoy under his wing and taught him everything he knew, and when LeeRoy made the team, Albert couldn’t have been more proud if it was his own son.
Albert heard the shower in the locker room turn on and he knew that LeeRoy would be up soon. He’d given LeeRoy a gym key the day after the tragic murder of LeeRoy’s mother. Albert would never forget that day as long as he lived.
He had come downstairs to lock up when he heard that same whump sound of someone working the heavy bag, and he walked over to see who it was. There stood LeeRoy, no longer the scrawny freshman, he had grown up and looked more like a man than the boy he still was. Albert could tell something was wrong by how hard Jenkins was working the bag, and Albert just watched. All of a sudden LeeRoy stopped and started weeping uncontrollably. Albert stood there dumbfounded, he had never seen LeeRoy show any emotion, and was at a loss as what to do. LeeRoy saw Albert and immediately stopped and headed to the locker room. Albert collected himself and waited for LeeRoy to come out. When he finally did, he tried to make a beeline out the door, but Albert stopped him. He finally got the whole story from LeeRoy, and was shocked. “And the worst part is, it’s all my fault” LeeRoy said, and he began weeping again. Albert pulled him in to a hug and just let him cry. Albert didn’t have any kids of his own and had grown quite fond of LeeRoy, but at this moment, he felt utterly helpless. When LeeRoy finally got himself under control, Albert looked him right in the eye. “It’s NOT your fault Jenkins. Jeff made that choice, he is who lost control and who will pay the price.” LeeRoy nodded. “ Here hang on” Albert went upstairs and grabbed a spare key. He came down and gave it to LeeRoy. “Anytime you need it, both the gym and I are here for you” LeeRoy managed a slight smile.
They’d come a long way from that day, and been through a lot together. Albert heard his door open and LeeRoy walked in and poured himself some coffee before sitting down across from Albert. “What’s on your mind LeeRoy?”
LeeRoy took a deep breath. “Am I in over my head?” he asked. Albert looked at him puzzled. “I mean with the WFWF” LeeRoy said. “All I’ve succeeded in doing is losing 2 matches and getting myself fined by Lila” Albert just listened. That’s how this usually went, LeeRoy would verbal vomit for a bit and then be ready for Albert to give some advice.
“I really wanted to make an impact, to show them what I can do, but both of my matches have been garbage. The first ended before it got started, and the second wasn’t worth being called a match thanks to Lila. Now I have a match against a psycho and a pedophile. This is NOT what I had envisioned” LeeRoy pounded the table as he made his point.
Albert just sat for a bit, letting the silence speak. Finally he spoke. “LeeRoy, how long have we known each other?” “To long” LeeRoy chuckled. “So you know I would never steer you wrong, and LeeRoy, you are NOT in over your head. This is how the business works, everyone starts out on the bottom rung, you have to earn their respect and earn your place. You have a huge opportunity in front of you, take it and run with it. Show them who you are, who I know you to be” LeeRoy smiled, and drank the last of his coffee. “Thanks Al…coffee is crap” Albert and LeeRoy laughed.

Alright let’s do this
Ok, rolling
Here we are again, old LeeRoy, coming off a loss, trying to find his way. But here’s the thing, we all saw that loss at Horizon. It was cheap. If that’s the way that Frank wants to win, that’s fine with me, that’s his business, but if you ask me it’s the cowardly way to handle your business, but then again, we all knew that Frank was a coward didn’t we? I’ll admit that at first I was pissed that I lost, but then I saw the card for the Gate, and let me tell you, I just about did a jig when I saw my match on it. Old LeeRoy is going to get another shot at the GO, and along with it, Frank Lynn. It’s a forgone conclusion. I WILL win this match at the Gate, and when I get to Superbrawl, when I get my hands on you Frank, there will be no escape, no cheap win, no cowards way out. I don’t care who else is in the match, I don’t care, because all I want is to get my hands on you Frank, and when I do, I’m going to show you what a good old southern beatdown is.
As for my match at the Gate, sorry about your luck Vass, Dachs. You are both in the way of my goal, and I don’t tolerate anything in the way of what I want. Especially not two bizarro’s like you guys. Dachs, you belong on a porno set, or in prison, not at all in a wrestling ring, but since you are, I’m going to show you how we handle creeps like you in the mountains, and let me tell you, you will not enjoy it.
And Vass, I know you’ve lost a lot in your life, but you are about to lose something more, because there is NO WAY that I am going to let a nut like you beat me at the Gate and keep me from getting my hands of Frank, so he can finally get what is coming to him.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not overlooking either of you, I'm just that determined to get back in the ring with Frank. All the two of you are is a speed bump on the highway that is my WFWF career, and I'm a 4 wheel drive truck, I don't slow down for speed bumps
FRANK! I’m coming for you, I’m coming for the GO, I’m tired of waiting around, I’m taking what I want from now on, and I want to get my hands on you
I am LEEEROOOYYYY……JJJEEENNNNKINNNSSS
OOC: that last line is supposed to be the way it was said in the warcraft video
My first supporting character! !!yay!!
