AUGUST 1995
WCW -- There has been alot of internal shifting in recent weeks as the company gears up for the debut of Nitro on 9/4. As of this week Kevin Sullivan is out as head of creative. It's being said that Bischoff plans to head up creative himself, with close input from another trusted executive. As of press time, we don't know who that is, only that Sullivan is out.

SEPTEMBER 1995
WWF -- WWF extended it's reach in Canada this week securing new television deals with Viewer's Choice and TSN.
The word going around this week is that Vince McMahon is very unhappy with business with Diesel as the face of the promotion. All reports are indicating that creative direction will be changing soon and Diesel could be dropping the title as early as In Your House in two weeks.
RAW tapings on 9/5 (set to air 9/11) at the DC Armory drew a sell out crowd of 10,000. The main event saw Undertaker defeat Sid by DQ.

WCW -- MONDAY NITRO debuted 9/4 on TNT from ROY WILKINS AUDITORIUM in ST. PAUL MINNESOTA Drawing a Sell Out crowd of 5,000 2.28 rating (1,485,780 viewers)
NON TELEVISED -- Disco Inferno b Chavo Guerrero Jr. in 6:35 The Giant b Meng in 3:09

Johnny B. Badd showed up to Monday's Nitro taping late, he was fined and pulled from the show as a result.
Brian Pillman also found himself in hot water after instigating an argument with Stevie Ray that had to be broken up by other wrestlers. Pillman did not appear on the 9/4 show and was subsequently suspended.
Paul Wight debuted as "The Giant" in a dark match on Monday squashing Meng. They are planning on debuting him on TV sometime in the next month, more than likely programming him with Hogan.
Chavo Guerrero Jr. had a dark match tryout losing to Disco Inferno. No offer has been made to him as of press time and the feeling is that there probably won't be one as he didn't embarrass himself but didn't particularly stand out either.
Ultimo Dragon will be making a handful of appearances soon as part of an arrangement with the Japanese promotion, WAR. In return Dean Malenko will make a number of dates for WAR.

WWF -- RAW with the Undertaker vs Sid main event (taped 9/5) aired Monday 9/11 and did a 12.15 rating (7,899,450 viewers)
A press release was sent out Tuesday morning (9/12) announcing the return of the Ultimate Warrior to the company. No word on when his first appearance will be.
They drew 14,101 to Nassau Coliseum in New York on 9/12 for the RAW tapings. In the main event Shawn Michaels & Diesel went to a no contest with Yokozuna & Owen Hart.
WCW -- Jimmy Hart and Scotty Riggs apparently had some words about a damaged rental car, with Riggs placing the blame on Hart for damaging the car and sticking him with the bill. The situation got heated but Hart won't be punished for his part because he's only in WCW because of his political association with Hulk Hogan.
The company is in contract negotiations with the Steiner Brothers who are currently performing in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Bobby Blaze was signed to a pay-per-appearance deal this week. He's expected to be used as enhancement talent and will continue working for Smoky Mountain Wrestling.
Ultimo Dragon has apparently signed a written deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, how this will effect WAR loaning him out to WCW remains to be seen as WCW also has a working agreement with New Japan at the moment.
Harlem Heat have been getting so much TV exposure lately because they are scheduled to win the Tag Titles at Fall Brawl.

WCW -- WCW approached Memphis based promotion USWA, wanting them to act as a minor league system but were turned down. The two major hurdles in getting a deal done were the fact that 1) Jerry Lawler, who books USWA along with Jerry Jarrett, is working for the World Wrestling Federation and 2) WCW wanted more control over the business than Lawler & Jarrett were comfortable giving them. Brian Pillman's suspension, stemming from an altercation with Stevie Ray, still has about 2 weeks remaining.

WCW -- Zodiac (Ed Leslie) showed up at last week's Nitro in pretty bad shape although they were able to hide him pretty well as he was advertised in a tag match and they just left him on the apron for the most part. He was sent to rehab following Monday's show and it is more than likely that if not for his friendship with Hulk Hogan he would have been fired.
The original plan for the Hogan vs. Luger finish at Fall Brawl was that it would be ruled a double DQ (basically a draw) after The Giant attacked both men, with the idea being that neither man lost and they both had interference against them so they were both disqualified from being declared the victor. This way, Hogan would have an valid excuse for not losing his belt and Luger would have a valid excuse for not beating Hogan. Hogan thought that people would only take it as him not being strong enough to beat Luger and complained about the finish, so they changed it to Luger taking a DQ loss.
WWF -- In Your House drew 20,000 people and did a 0.86 buy rate (390,270 viewers). In the main event Jerry Lawler won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship from Diesel. The undercard featured the return of the Ultimate Warrior who went to a no contest vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley, The Smoking Gunns winning the Tag Titles from Yokozuna & Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels retaining the Intercontinental Championship against Goldust.
Ultimate Warrior's actual first match back took place at last week's RAW taping (airing the night after his on screen return at In Your House). He went to a no contest with Yokozuna.

WCW -- Jody Hamilton has been campaigning for Disco Inferno in the creative meetings. Requesting that he get more promo time, feeling that he has the charisma and a strong enough presentation to be a key player down the line. Hamilton also took over as head trainer for Johnny Rodz School of Wrestling this week, so the students coming through there automatically have a greater chance of getting a look from WCW now. WCW's Power Plant school still remains in operation as their in-house training ground. Buddy Lee Parker who has an on-screen role with the company as enhancement talent is currently the head trainer of the Power Plant.
Kamala's contract expired this week and he was not offered a new deal. His last appearance for WCW was at Thursday's Main Event tapings where he put over Scott Norton.
Road Warrior Hawk's deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling has expired so he won't be appearing for them anymore unless it's through an arrangement with WCW. The plan as of this writing is for him to tag with Sting, whenever Sting isn't defending the US belt. Road Warrior Animal does not have a deal with WCW and is currently unable to wrestle due to a back injury. It's expected that once he has fully healed they'll try to work something out so they can put the Road Warriors back together.
Brian Pillman's suspension is over as of Monday. He is scheduled to be at the building for Nitro but they are waiting to see what headspace he is in before writing him into anything for the show.
