Kam Chancellor announced on twitter he has to retire I saw that. Man my team has lost a lot of players this offseason. I don't know how next season is going to go. 6-10

I’m a life long Cowboys fan, former college player and high school coach. I love Dak the person , but as an NFL Qb he has poor accuracy and he has absolutley no long ball. I said it during his rookie year when everyone was going ape poop over him that he will be more Gary Hogaboun or Quincy Carter and not Danny White or Romo and no where close to Aikman and Staubach. Now give him Beasley’s and Welkers and find a tight end like Gronk/Graham and he will beat you all day.......If Elliot is in the backfield. No Elliot, then Dak l Is a below average NFL QB with great leadership, with Elliot he becomes a slightly above average an as long as he doesn’t have to throw more than ten yards.
If Jerry wants to run a chunk and dunk, DAk is his man if he wants a stretch NFL Defense then he needs to keep looking.
I am a Dak fan, I just don’t see him as a Elway, Montana, Brady type QB.

Horrible? Not yet. Mediocre? Absolutely. He won so many games his rookie year because they had the best O Line in the nfl That could have made anyone look decent. Between that and the run game being good.

Please dont remind me of Quincy Carter ive tried to forget him and those years .For Dak I agree with you when he had Zeke,Witten and Beasley he's above average maybe a little better then that but take away one or two of those he's nowhere close to average I'll take Romo all day. I think with the right pieces he can still get you to the Super Bowl but I dont think Dallas has those pieces right now they need to replace Witten and get him a solid number one receiver and Earl Thomas won't hurt if they can finally finish that trade.

When you have the choice between playing for the Browns and just retiring, there’s really only one choice.

You act like he only completed 52% of his passes with 15 tds and 8 ints. Did he recreate his rookie season? No......but he damn sure wasn’t that bad either.

Just looking at stats alone doesn’t show the complete picture. He has no arm whatsoever, and isn’t very accurate on deep plays. He’s doesn’t make great plays outside of the scheme of the Cowboys offense, and hasn’t shown the ability to be clutch or be a leader on the field. He’s also had the best offensive line in the league, along with an all time great TE in Witten and a good receiver in Dez Bryant, and that’s not even bringing up the fact that he still had Zeke for 10 games. The Cowboys should have at least made the playoffs with the roster they have. The only reason they were over .500 was because they faced an Eagles team that played 2nd string and 3rd string guys in Week 17 (only put up 6 points btw). There’s not much more you can give Dak to succeed that he hasn’t already been given, yet he’s still consistently underperformed. He’s not Jay Cutler levels of bad, but he’s no Aaron Rodgers either.

You speak facts. Stats don’t show the whole picture. But come on, why so harsh? He’s going into his 3rd year and he can always progress. Don’t bury the guy just yet.

Just saying at least give him more time before throwing him in the dog house.

I never thought dak was good. He had the best rb in football (that year) as a rookie, the best line in front of him, a Hof tight end and dez way still largely believed to be dez, at least somewhere in there.
Last year he missed zeke, dez was still declining, and he was nowhere near the year before.
Just another rg3 or Mike Vick who got figured out and crashed to reality.

Where do you guys think Moats winds up this season? Think the Steelers pick him back up or no? Dude's a legit starting LB, but he's not elite. But his skill set improved every year under Shazier and Harrison and after Shazier went down, he really stepped up his game. Hope he stays, or gets a chance to start somewhere. Dude's an amazingly nice guy.

I think give Dak one more season then try hard to get a replacement in the off-season if it doesn't work out.. here's the reactions from the fans of teams that didn't make it to playoffs last season. good stuff..

I think they should give Dak more then one more year, this year is gonna most likely be a rough year in Big D until they get a true number one receiver unless he just looks awful. They got a great line and one of the best young Running backs in the league they just need to fill the TE and #1 WR spots to find out what they really have in Dak. Aikman wasnt a HOF QB in his first couple years either(I'm not saying he's another Aikman I'm just saying give him a little more time)the defense should be better this year and thats gotta help Dak out some. The team didnt do great last year but they still finished with a winning record without their best player for almost half the season.

I wish it was 40 days! I want it now, that’d be ing awesome cause the NFL offseason is a slow burn. Unfortunately it doesn’t start for another 57 days, season kick-off ATL philly. Then everyone else Sunday and MNF double header.

What I wouldn't give to have Dallas's O line. Russell Wilson would go absolutely insane.
