Harley Quinn
That's right I said it. Dont get me wrong, I love the character and she's a great "side kick" to The Joker but lets be honest, what has she done? Did she kill Robin? No! Did she paralyze Batgirl? No. All she is is an over sexualized character that a bunch of pervs have sexual fantasies about. You make the same character but she's 250lbs and has small boobs, she's gone 3 issues/episodes in.

I kinda hate that everyone's on the Deadpool bandwagon. He is definitely overrated. A cool, quirky character but I hate when I try to relate to people with Marvel talk and all they know about is Deadpool. I dunno. I'll probably be disagreed with.

I really wanted to say Harley Quinn and Deadpool as well but figured I'd get hated on too much. I completely agree, he is a "cool" character but man I enjoyed him so much better before the whole hype train. It's not cause he's "mainstream" or anything but he was just a cool side character in small doses IMO, just like Harley Quinn and now they're so overdone, I'm just sick of em. As much as I love Heath Ledger's joker, the whole internet fan base overly posting and over marketing has kind of made me sick of him. Although I don't think he's an over rated character but that's the best example I can give for the Harley Quinn and Deadpool arguement and in my eyes they're just cool side characters at best.

A cool, quirky character but I hate when I try to relate to people with Marvel talk and all they know about is Deadpool. I dunno. I'll probably be disagreed with. Preach, brother. The movie did AMAZING business here in Australia and it seemed that to the layman that anything Marvel was 'Oh, that's that Deadpool guy, eh?' I was there in the early '90's reading New Mutants #98 - who could have ever guessed a seemingly throwaway character like him would be the over saturated character he is now. Of course not; he evolves, but to the point of seemingly being seen to non-comic book fans as the flavour of the month is not to my liking. The characters I have the most issue with are the ones bereft of originality, innovation, creativity and resonance...usually villains, or female versions of male-established characters. Tropes and traits in villains such as 'the evil boss who kills subordinates like it's nothing just to hammer home the point that he's the bad guy' and 'the unhinged villain who often questions his would-be allies with rhetorical questions before delving into a brief allegory just to bring about his point', ad nauseam... Female Thor...X-23 as Wolverine... *tsk tsk tsk*

I like Harley Quinn and Deadpool, but they only work because they're such a vast contrast to other comic characters. They wouldn't work at all if you didn't have straight heroes like Logan, Spidey or Cap.

To be fair, Harley wasn't always over sexualized. The Arkham games and certain writers decided it'd be a good idea to make her dress like a whore.
This is why I can't stand Power Girl.
I'm all for some boobies, don't get me wrong. But good Lord, how can she fly around with those watermelons?

Female Thor... X-23 as Wolverine... *tsk tsk tsk* Oh God don't get me started And I agree with Harley Quinn lately. The Animated series used her perfectly, that & she wasn't scantly clad (another thing that bothers me) just a side character that was more fun with Poison Ivy as best buddies than oversaturated with the Joker. Deadpool I think is enjoyable, yeah non comic fans are going to ruin the fun of the character & Deadpool currently is the biggest selling comic character for Marvel at the moment, so he's not been a problem for me lately. Another character I'd say is Princess Leia. I swear all she really does is get captured & causes deaths from her tactical incompetence. Sure she manages to get Luke back, but that's from him using the force to communicate. Other than that whenever she's in charge, people die. Episode 4, they're outgunned & the early shootout, Episode 5, she commands the battle of Both, we know how that went. Episode 7, multiple planets get blown up, technically it's sort of not her fault, but she was in charge & they were lucky not to be destroyed themselves. I don't know others feel about her, but Leia always bothered me personally.

I agree with the Deadpool comment. One of my friends says that's his favorite comic book character, but when I ask why, he doesn't give a reason.

After seeing the recent Power Rangers teaser trailer, they just made the list!
I was 10 when the first series came out and I ate it up until the Green Ranger saga then even at that age I gave up after that. This new teaser makes it look like the new Ninja Turtles movies and it looks like it will have the same fate, a 5.9/6.1 movie on IMDB that tried to cash in on nostalgia and failed. I feel like people will jump on the bandwagon and then quietly get off again.

The Joker. I love him, but there's a ton of great Batman villains that get overshadowed because of Joker. Not to mention a lot of Batman fans these days only know of him because of The Dark Knight.

Hulk Hogan: Never made any stars and only looked out for himself. Had he helped build up others around him, business would have been so much better IMO.
Ryan Gosling's character from Drive: Movie was bad, his acting was bland, never saw the hype at all.
John Elway: Everyone talks about how good of a QB he was, but he didn't win a SB till Terrell Davis came along.
Jennifer Lawrence: Not a character per se, but she's okay looking and her acting is alight. But people need to shut up about her.
The Rock: I like the Rock, but too many ignore he was very very limited in the ring. Dare I say, Roman have a bigger arsenal of moves. Was once told on here, "If you're not a fan of the Rock, you must have been the unpopular kid and were bullied at school". That says it all right there.
Eli Roth: This guy is an awful director. His movies are not scary. or good. Or entertaining.
I don't disagree with Boba Fett. Looks cool, but really, what did he do? Died quickly and yelled while doing it.
Freddy Kruger: First move was great, but the rest kinda sucked. Once he went into a video game, I was done.

Half of the main characters from The Walking Dead. I absolutely cannot stand Daryl, Carl, Glenn, and Carol.
Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.
