Man, that's still kinda strange seeing Dutch as a well dressed outlaw. Just so used to him being the crazy, rail against the changing world, outlaw he was in the first. I wonder if it will do the same as the first, and after you beat the whole game, you're playing as a different character. And I'm guessing we'll find out how John got his scars, because that one shot of him being held by the guy with the knife, it looks like they've been freshly sewn up. But man, October really can't soon enough

I'm really considering pre-ordering this. Gonna do it digital if I do. Ultimate Edition. You get $2.5M for GTA Online if you get the UE. The way I look at it is, $60 for the standard and only $500K for GTA:O. Or $100 for the UE and $2M for that pre-order and I saw a load screen while jumping into GTA:O last night that said you get a bonus $500K credited to your Maze Bank account if you pre-order by 8.21. $2.5M in GTA money is $40 real money, so the extra $40 difference between standard and UE is basically buying two $20 Shark Cards.

Is it weird that the horse testicles shrinking or growing depending on the temperature and dynamic horse pooping are two massive seeling points for me?

I really want to be hyped for RDR 2 - it's one of those games that I've been waiting for since RDR 1 but....I dunno. I'm just afraid that it's going to be GTA V all over again: a lame, uninspiring single-player with all the focus being on the multiplayer which in my opinion, wasn't very fun.
I just hope I'm wrong.

If the story isn’t that great, there’s still a huge world to explore. Hunting, fishing etc. There’s going to be things for everyone. 😀

It's just stuff for you to do, you know? I dunno. I'm casting stones on a game that isn't even out yet.
Look like we'll just have to wait and see, now won't we?

Red Dead Redemption was the only game I ever enjoyed playing online. So even if the story isn’t as good as RDR here’s hoping the On-line play will be just as good.

I've been skeptical as well, based entirely on the same reasons, but it does seem that they still paid ample attention to the single player. Of course, the only way to really know is once it's released. I think the one consolation is that I don't see RDR Online being anywhere close to what GTA Online became: aka a $$$ juggernaut from all the kids with their parents' credit cards. I don't see an Old West game attracting the same younger audience, tbh.

I was the exact same way, but since these gameplay videos have been released, I've gotten more interested. Still on the fence if I wanna get it this week. Do I wanna pay the full $60 + tax and get it at 9PM Thursday? Or do I wanna save my 20% GCU and use a $5 reward cert and get it Friday whilst at work? That extra 18 hours isn't worth upwards of $20 extra dollars, methinks.

Besides, Hitman 2 comes out early November and I'm more hyped for that than RDR 2.

I pre-ordered it. Got the special edition for $62 after tax. Best Buy app said it can be picked up at 9PM as well, so I figured it was good to save my 20% and get it early.

Alligators are in the game. The Legendary Animals are back.
I like where this is going.

I've only just scratched the surface of the beginning, but I'm loving the game so far. And without spoiling anything I like just little lines in one mission with Javier, in terms of John, first saying if the roles were reversed, John would go looking for him, and then telling John, "you're not going to die . . . not yet."
