I'd say, why not? Even though Boston is located in the Northeast, it is one of the WWE's top markets as WWE events in TD Garden almost always sell out there which is why Boston has hosted a WWE PPV every year since 2011. Which brings me the idea of having Gillette Stadium host WrestleMania 34. I think it would be a great idea just like WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Thoughts?

i'd love it to happen. but its a HUGE gamble with an outdoor stadium....the weather in new england can really be unforgiving in early april. there have been many years we're still in the mid 30's temperature at night at that time. NOBODY wants to wrestle in that crap

Risky weather wise. I want one in Chicago at solider field, but it probably won't ever happen do to weather in march

Nope. Gillette Stadium is one of the smaller stadiums in the NFL. With the ring, the staging, and what have you, it would bring capacity to under 60,000 for starters.
Secondly, the weather is a huge factor. Massachusetts is often still a fair bit colder than NY/NJ that time of the year, and that was already a stretch for Mania.
Third, Gillette Stadium is very costly to rent. Bob Kraft is a shrewd, unforgiving business man with high standards and even higher prices. He doesn't play nicely with events that don't fall under his "Kraft Productions" umbrella. It leads to over-inflated ticket costs.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the stadium is in a poor location. WWE likes the host city to have all of its necessary accommodations in the same general area both for the talent, and the huge influx of fans coming in from out-of-state/out-of-country. Gillette Stadium is nearly 45 minutes south of Boston. That means all other events would require a fair bit of driving. There is a train that runs down to Foxborough, but it's the outskirts and its schedule would not be conducive.
The whole thing would be a huge logistical challenge with almost no upside, and that's coming from someone from Maine who could kill for a Northeast Wrestlemania.

WWE just got lucky with the Meadowlands not being a freezy pop that weekend. I can't see the WWE taking that gamble again. And if they are going to go with an outside, north stadium I would say Quest in Seattle would be perfect.

Safeco field has a cool look even though it only held 55,000

Rumor is Philly put in a strong bid for WM 34. I can get behind that. But as a PA resident, well, I can state for a fact that our weather is just as unpredictable as Boston's, though maybe not as severe. , it was just in the 30s this past week and it hit 85 today.

I agree as I'm from Philly myself and the weather here is always unpredictable. We are long overdue for another WM here since we do have some of the best wrestling fans in the world in my opinion.
On top of that I'm only 15 minutes away from the Linc.

Pittsburgh, Philly, Chicago and New York are always top four for me, with Miami and LA being next. But Heinz can't host a Mania because of the ing river causing so many issues that hurt us from even being in Super Bowl host contention so the next best bet for me to see a Mania is Philly. L'eggo!

The last big event we had here was the Rumble in 2015. It's ridiculous. Terry Funk said we're the best wrestling fans in the world and he's not lying.
Imagine the ECW HOF class. It would be awesome.

We had the Pope visit, the Democratic Convention and in 2017 we have the NFL draft. We are just as big a city as NY,Chicago, and LA. Hell we are the birthplace of America after all.

It's not a good idea for all the reasons j12 pointed out.
However, if you live in the area, WWE is running a show in Massachusetts every month until the end of the year.
10/30 - Hell in a Cell - TD Garden
11/17 - NXT - Boston University
12/10 - Holiday Tour - Lowell (unfortunately it's the RAW brand)

I would like Seattle, too. However, Seattle is not considered a strong WWE market compared to Boston as WWE events held at the KeyArena tend to average just 7000 fans whereas WWE events in Boston tend to average 15,000 fans.

And if they are going to go with an outside, north stadium I would say Quest in Seattle would be perfect. The weather in the New York/New Jersey area the day and day's leading up to WrestleMania XXIX was quite cold. Like NY/NJ, the weather can be very unpredictable in the northeast in early-Spring. The weather can be a factor as to why the WWE is holding WrestleMania in warm weather cities. Holding a WrestleMania in Boston (Foxboro) would pose serious issues. J12 is correct on all accounts. I can see Philadelphia or Minneapolis hosting WrestleMania XXXIV. Both cities have centrally located stadiums with a massive fan base. Hell, I would throw Atlanta in the mix as well. As it pertains to another WrestleMania in California, I wouldn't expect another one there till after City of Champions Stadium is built in Inglewood, CA. As of this writing, the land is being cleared to build said stadium.
