Can't wait for the Switch! My wallet is crying, but I'm excited I have the Switch, Bomberman, and Zelda Special Edition (not Master Edition) all pre-ordered. I'm hyped for Mario, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (battle mode looks great), and some others. Fire Emblem coming to the Switch is awesome, and I have my fingers crossed for a true Pokémon game to come to the Switch. I still feel for $300 it should have came bundled with that 1,2, Switch game though, but oh well I'm excited for it. Awesome. I have the Switch, Breath of the Wild, Super Bomberman R, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe all pre-ordered. I've been making payments on everything so I don't have to spend all that money at once.

I really think this system will be the Death of Nintendo. The system doesn't seem like a major upgrade and like always, they go gimmicky. The launch titles are also very lackluster. I can see them maybe selling off their IP to Sony, ect. Thats where they can make some serious $$

They have banked so much money from NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy, GBA, DS, 3DS, Wii, Mario, and Pokémon they can afford setbacks with consoles like the GameCube, Virtual Boy, and Wii U. They literally have billions in the bank. They're not going anywhere. Switch appears to be a hit based on early buzz and record setting pre-order numbers. Even if it does flop, they will be just fine.

They've made a ton of money throughout the years. Just in the last few years, they've banked on the 3DS, amiibo, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Sun and Moon, the NES Classic, and hell, all Switch pre-orders are even sold out. You're right, Nintendo's not going anywhere.

Heck the launch looks fine to me, I mean we are getting a new Zelda that looks amazing! Not only that but Bomberman is there for multiplayer and so is 1,2, Switch, and then just a little down the road we have Mario Kart and Arms. I think the Joy-Cons will be amazing personally, It will be fun taking my Switch different places and always having a 2nd controller with me for some multiplayer fun. I see the Switch being a success, it has a positive buzz going with it right now.

Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, and 1-2 Switch all look like they're could be ready at launch but staggering the releases will ensure there isn't a long gap in between major releases. That's why we're not getting a huge lineup on 3/3.

That seems very straight-forward to me. That they also added motion controls is a holdover from their most successful modern console so I'm not sure how that counts as a gimmick either. When you say the launch titles are lackluster, that's just one man's opinion. Legend of Zelda is a game that a ton of people are looking forward to. 1, 2 Switch, while not my cup of tea, definitely has an appeal to people who enjoyed the party games on the Wii. Same for Just Dance. For me personally, the most exciting launch game is Super Bomberman R because it's a title we would not have gotten on a home console in the last 15-20 years. A really nice throwback. Even if the Switch bottoms out, worse than the Wii U (which I'd wager is damn near impossible for happening), the 3DS is still a historic success. They will NEVER "sell off" their IPs and they will likely never go third party so as long as they can keep selling handheld systems that support their IPs as well.

Looks awesome. I love the idea of combining a home console and a wireless console. Definitely need Zelda, Splatoon II, a Sonic game, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, and surprisingly Minecraft. I have yet to pick up Minecraft because I wanted to take my building on the go and wanted a bigger screen.

Gimmicky as in those lame Switch games and those tiny overprices controllers. High powered gameboy? If that is the case, the battery power should be better. This system is no better than the Wii U and will be lucky not to earn the same fate. The launch is being labeled as a failure by more than just me. I guess the ones who are ok w/ it are just drinking the nintendo coolaid. wait...seriously?? you put Just Dance on that list? hahaha ....... Zelda will also be out on the Wii U. While Super Bomberman is fun..its not a console mover. I would also never say never too. I remember hearing they would never get into apps but from what I see and hearing for future ones... thats not the case.

I am actually looking quite forward to it. I am getting the console (grey version) Zelda and the pro controller. There is honestly no other launch games that I am interested in plus Zelda will keep me busy for a while so I am just going to wait for Mario Kart to drop next month.

I have the Switch, Breath of the Wild, and Super Bomberman R pre-ordered. I've been putting money down on everything the last couple of weeks so that I don't spend so much money at one time.

Was not able to get a preorder there and ended up getting one at FYE. Using the Best Buy cards to get Zelda ($48), Blue/Red Joy Cons ($80), Charging Grip ($30), Pro Controller ($70). Will also likely get some Nintendo eShop cards but waiting to see what will be available or if I need to repurchase the Virtual Console games again to determine how much I need. The rest I will just wait to see what comes out between now and the end of the year. Mario Odyssey is a must get. Not sure if I wanna buy Mario Kart 8 again. **Edit** Remembered I am gonna eventually need a microSD card for more memory and an extra wall charger. Debating if I want an extra dock. Figured if I were to get a dock, the cost of that plus the set of Joy Cons would be $170. Could just spend an extra $130 and get another complete system.

I have tons of faith in the Switch but I'm not buying it until Mario Odyssey is released. I have a Wii U so it's pointless to buy a new console for a Zelda game that I can play on one that I already own.

You can be the cool guy that brings the Switch to the rooftop party where you and your friends can play mini games like quickdraw or lightning bolt push or milking the cow.

Paid off mine yesterday and pre-ordered Zelda. Pretty pumped, just from seeing videos of Zelda it looks like that game is going to do more than enough to hold people over for new titles. Binding of Issac Afterbirth+ will also be on my get list for the system.

If you weren't excited by anything from today's Nindies event then you don't like video games! So many titles coming from up-and-coming publishers but in particular I can't wait for Yooka-Laylee, Toejam & Earl, and Snake Pass.
