So now the dilemma is do I want Syracuse to win and most likely have them lose to TCU or Michigan State and get stomped in the bracket, or do I want ASU to win so that I can switch that region to what I actually think is going to happen before the round of 64 starts.
Go Orange.

Quick! Somebody give me an awesome bracket that I can beat everyone at work with! I don't think there is such a beast this year. Lots and lots of parity in the NCAA this year.

That was pretty cool Loyola Chicago (even though I picked Miami).

Day one is over and Arizona is the first bracket busting loser. I'm glad I had them losing in the second round to Kentucky. According to ESPN, 18% of their brackets had Arizona in the final four.

I see one of us chose Virginia to win the whole Tournament.

History has just been made. UMBC defeated Virginia by 20. First 16 seed to ever beat a 1. 1-135 record for 16 seeds. Does anybody know what UMBC stands for? Everybody will know now because they are going to go down in history.
Side note- I always figured Virginia during this era is always a candidate for this historic upset. Never have enough offense and they lost a top bench player who was a good part of their offense. It was set up for them to lose. I never had them making it out of the second round in the last several years they were a top seed.

University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
This makes me feel so much better about losing Arizona.

UMBC isn't my alma mater, but it makes me very proud to say that a school coming from where I'm from (Baltimore County, Maryland) was the first #16 seed to beat a #1 seed in the men's tournament. Wish I could have watched it live tonight, but either way this is a moment in sports history that won't soon be forgotten. This will also probably do wonders for their program going forward. Congrats to UMBC for pulling off the upset of all upsets.

Sure glad I had Kentucky coming out of the South bracket 'cuz it is the bracket of death for most people with UVA and Arizona going down.
Grew up in Baltimore so hip hip hooray for UMBC.
