Hi, I was wondering why the 4 pack has Barry Windham and not Ole Anderson?
I'm surprised I haven't seen this topic before and I really want Ole Anderson Elite figure!

Ole hates Vince's guts
Also, this is the rendition of the horsemen actually inducted in the HOF

Oh right, Ole Anderson is what this four pack needed to not be clogging shelves at every Target I go to. They can't seem to give this thing away for free.

Short and sweet answer... Barry Windham > Ole Anderson in every way.

1. Ole is not in the WWE Hall of Fame
2. Ole is not under any sort of merchandising deal with WWE
3. Barry is the bigger name

People will hardly buy it with Barry let alone Ole Right. It's because of this series that we'll probably never see an elite 4 pack again. I think it was a bone headed move on mattels part to mass produce a 4-pack of elites of legends that kids have no idea about. Ric Flair is probably the only recognizable name in that series. This was strictly to get the buys from collectors but that doesn't make up the majority of the market. It should have been a Matty shop exclusive. Hell, I don't even want a four horseman 4-pack.

They really limited themselves by making the elite 4 packs in the HOF line. You can't do nWo DX or Evolution because of it
Golden Era: Hogan/Piper/Warrior/Savage (they could do that one, except they can't) New Generation: Bret/Shawn/Diesel/Razor (can do but a Kliq set makes more sense) Attitude Era: Rock/Austin/Triple H/Taker (only Austin is in)
Beyond that only Eddie, Edge, and Shawn are in. But it makes more sense to do packs of people that were the biggest stars of their era and/or important teams/factions that current fans will know, then you can make your Windhams and your Tullys. But that's not what they did

People acting like Barry Windham with a beard and ponytail sold more units than Ole would've

Well, that would be because Target is terrible. I have the set already, I figured I'd pick another up to make customs because the set is on sale for $15 at Target. So I go and there is nothing mentioning the sale. I take it and scan it and it scans as $15. So I buy it. But when you have a sale like that and can't even put a tag on the shelf? They wonder why it's not selling too.

I'd say the reason it's warming is because it's $50. Collectors will pay, but kids aren't begging their parents to spend $50 on guys they most likely don't have a clue about.

I bought it on sale for $15.00 just for Flair and Arn Anderson. I would not have bought if (a) I did not have a Target gift card at the time, and (b) if my Target did a decent job of stocking other WWE figures that I actually want to buy. Barry Windham is okay, but every time I look at it I think it looks exactly like CM Punk with a blonde ponytail.

Ric Flair himself has said that the 4 in this pack are THE 4 Horsemen. I would imagine that has something to do with it as well.

Regardless of the company that made them or the them of the figures.
