This video gives me serious hope.
Not even a month ago I was wanting them to just scrap the whole thing.

I’m working on getting caught up on 205 and I hope Roddy wins the tournament so bad.

Does anyone else just forget to watch 205 until they see an advertisement or something?!

I’m really into 205 Live lately. They really don’t have the right audience for it though. It would fit way better with the NXT crowd. It’s kind of sad to see these awesome matches and pretty much no reactions whatsoever from the fans in attendance.

Awesome match but they've mucked up the tournament imo. It's all of the same guys who have been around plus Roderick Strong. If Strong beats Alexander then I can get, somewhat, back onboard, but Andrews should be facing Murphy, and then we should get Murphy vs Strong. This quickly went from something I was excited about to something I don't care about, again. I'm sure Alexander vs Gulak is the match they want, but that's not going to make anyone who doesn't care about 205 Live care about it at Mania.
This was a really great opportunity to turn the corner for 205 Live. The audience is the biggest for Mania season. If the buzz out of 205 is about new faces atop the division then that inclines people to check out what is going on. However, they've seen guys like Ali, Gulak, and Alexander ad nauseam. They already know they don't care about those guys. So aside from finding someway to really elevate Strong in the next two matches, the tournament is now a failure for me.

I like Ali, but I kinda wanted Murphy to win last night. Something/Someone fresh and new. I think they're planning on Alexander vs Ali in the Finals. Because right before the tournament started they were playing off their friendship. If I had to guess, Cedric will get dirty to finally win the title. After being screwed over time after time. Thus causing a feud between the two. But I could be wrong.

There's talk we are going to be getting a CW tag division after WM. With new titles and everything.

There's talk we are going to be getting a CW tag division after WM. With new titles and everything. I saw this. I think it's kind of weird given they are seemingly having quite a bit of trouble getting the singles title over. Lots of people made the 2000s WCW comparisons already... I have to wonder if this is what they are planning for DIY. I'm not sure how they would explain away their feud but I really can't think of any pairing that this actually benefits at present. The Singh Bros and Itami and Tozawa is about it. Still, I'd prefer Gargano and Ciampa headline 205 live as CW Title opponents over tagging together, at least at present. I guess the one thing I can say with absolute certainty is that if this opens up a spot for the Motor City Machine Guns in WWE, it will be totally worth it. Still, I would have thought the women were more poised for tag titles before this happened. Obviously, I was wrong.

genuine question here, and please don't crap on me like they do on reddit
i havent seen him since he's returned, but why is everyone in love with murphy?
he and blake were the worst part of nxt for a long time. they were incredibly bland and generic,
now he comes back and i see people saying he has "it"...and i just can't imagine that being the case,
i'm going to go watch his match with Ali, but i'm just so confused

Look at the final four for this tournament for example. Any of those combos could steal the show at WM, Murphy being in there would still be good but it'd be just that and nothing more.

It'd be great to see the Singh Brothers in this division too, instead of just being Jinder's lackeys.

The 2 matches routine works really well on 205, Ive really enjoyed it since the tournament started. Bit surprised Murphy lost, although he just looks a bit too big for that division and I would have reservations about the legitimacy he brings to it, could you imagine him vs mark andrews, the size difference? I think hes a good fit for NXT. I laughed when i heard the name of his finishing move, "Murphys Law" one of my fave Charles Bronson movies.

I’m not sure what is so surprising about Murphy losing to Mustafa. Mustafa has been pushed almost as much as Cedric in the last month or two. My guess was a Cedric/Mustafa final when the tournament was announced. Gulak could end up beating Mustafa, as he’s really clicking right now, but at least for me Cedric/Mustafa is the best option.
