Anyone else go to the Glasgow show last night? I wasn't planning on going, but as soon as I saw Nakamura announced for it I checked ticketmaster...and pulled a single seat in the third row. Boom. Was a brilliant night. Miles better than the Hydro house show last April (and I was 4th row then, so the enjoyment factor wasn't just down to the great seat). Hardly any of the wrestlers phoned it in even though it was a house show... Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had a great match. Granted I did speed my way through a few beers but it really felt like a top show to me. Even Jinder Mahal being added to the main event didn't quite ruin it for me too

Even Jinder Mahal being added to the main event didn't quite ruin it for me too I was there in the 3rd row with my friends. Great night. Even if the crowd were quite flat at times. They wouldn't join in any of our chants which was lame. Although I did get the whole arena chanting Ellsworth which was a cool little moment! People who go to shows to just sit in silence are the worst. American Alpha absolutely loved our chants which resulted in Jason Jordan throwing me his shirt. Greg Hamilton and Dasha Fuentes loved us too, both kept acknowledging our chants and couldn't stop laughing haha! Great night, although I thought the main event was quite disappointing. It really felt rushed. No championship introductions and Randy Orton didn't even do his full entrance and ran straight to the ring to attack Jinder. Wish we could've just gotten AJ vs. Orton, that would've been so much better. The match was rather short as well and AJ never really got to showcase his signature moves, bizarre. They must've been cut short by other matches on the card, that's all I can surmise.

Just been the Liverpool show, I don't know if it's coz I've just come back from our first Wrestlemania but I wasn't impressed tonight. Matches seemed to go on too long, was quite a few botched & the crowd was pretty flat, this could be down to it being an early show full of kids or again it might be me being picky after coming down from the highs of Wrestlemania week. One think I did notice that there wasn't the usual flyer with the November tour dates, have these been out at any other shows?

I'm already having withdrawals from the Glasgow on Thursday, it snuck up and was over before I knew it. Now looking forward to going to Raw and SD in November as well as the Glasgow house show.
In the meantime, wrestling wise, at least I have NXT to look forward to next month as well as meeting Goldberg!

People who go to shows to just sit in silence are the worst. Well thank you for that assessment. Some of us are just naturally quiet people, who still love the atmosphere of being at a WWE event regardless. Judging from your post, it appears you're a very rowdy individual.

Not really, I'm actually very reserved in most scenarios and really don't like to be loud or draw attention to myself in anyway, so if someone like me can get lost in the moment and have fun, why can't other people? No need to take such exception over an opinion. Obviously different people will have different circumstances, and that's fair enough, but the people who go to these shows and not only don't get involved, but expect everyone else around them to be quiet can off. It's a wrestling show, not a library.

Well "people who go to shows to just sit in silence" describes me perfectly when I attend a wrestling event, so considering that apparently people like me are "the worst", I felt the need to comment on it. Honestly I'm not actually offended, just having a little fun. I'm perfectly happy for this little exchange to be a friendly debate. Personally, when I attend an event, I have a ton of fun just watching the show and sitting there, soaking in the atmosphere and energy. I just choose to show my enjoyment through a smile rather than shouting at the top of my lungs. That's just me and how I am. With more outspoken people happy to do the chanting, I don't feel it necessary for me to do that. I can't imagine anyone attending an event expecting everybody to stay silent though. Did you encounter those types of people at the event you attended? Definitely sounds like strange behaviour.

Did you encounter those types of people at the event you attended? Definitely sounds like strange behaviour. I think it's just down to personal preference to be honest. When I went to NXT Liverpool last year, I joined in with the chants at more or less every opportunity (hard not to when Nakamura AND Tye Dillinger were on the card!) and I think it really enhanced my enjoyment of the show. I think it shows as well that louder atmospheres can usually enhance a show (for the people there and watching at home) but at the same time I understand that not everyone is capable or willing of doing that. I think as long as everyone's right to act as quiet or loud as they like is respected equally (everyone's paid their money to attend, after all and I think they can do whatever they like as long as it's within reason) then there's been a happy medium reached. I see it much different to something like a football match where I think one of the primary reasons you'd go to a match should be to back your team vocally as used to be tradition (which you don't see much of anymore, sadly) but I don't think the pressure of singing through every second should be expected of people at wrestling events.

Did you encounter those types of people at the event you attended? Definitely sounds like strange behaviour. Fair play, I apologise for generalising, everyone will have different reasons for wanting to sit quietly and there's nothing wrong with that. But yes I've attended shows where people have actually gotten annoyed with others for being enthusiastic, exuberant and chanting things. And I'm not even talking drunken, inappropriate or vulgar chants, just typical fans having a good time. I've seen people like this give them dirty looks(behind their back of course) and whisper to their friend about how annoying they are, which is so pathetic. How dare someone go to a show and have fun. I'd much rather sit in a crowd full of enthusiastic and loud wrestling fans than a bunch of boring, arrogant s sitting in silence like it's Sunday service. We tried our damnedest to get the crowd into the show and it was just falling on deaf ears. I think once you've been to a show with a hardcore crowd, like an NXT or Monday Night Raw you realise just how timid some family crowds are at house shows. I guess it's something I'll just need to accept.

Imagine if everyone just 'sat in silence' at a show...
It's those people that complain about how the shows suck on TV cause the 'crowd wernt feeling it' as well which is VERY irritating.
Really dislike people who put 0 effort or emotion in when watching a live show.

Really dislike people who put 0 effort or emotion in when watching a live show. A crowd can really make or break a show. The guys in the ring need our energy, otherwise they'd never know if we like something or not. If we're all sitting in silence, they're going to see that as a bad thing and think they're not doing their jobs properly. I think we owe it to them to let them know that we're having a good time and appreciate their hard work by being as loud as possible. Many wrestlers have said themselves that there's nothing worse than crickets.
