I was expecting more of a connection between the film and the HP films. Sans some name drops, and the Deathly Hallows pendent, I didn't really pick up on too much. I guess this is HP Prime though. So this is movie 1 if we're moving towards the HP films we know, viewing them in a Star Wars 4,5 & 6 kind of way. So I'd definitely go see a second in the series to see how it moves more in that direction. I enjoy HP, but I'm not a big fan by any means. I did enjoy the baker guy and his relationship with the hot sister. Newt was kind of a charming lead but he was very much a wallflower. I thought Farrell as Graves was the standout of the film. I think they relied quite a bit on the audience being captivated by the creatures, which I personally really wasn't. I thought Ron Perlman's cameo was pretty good.
I guess this series leads to the big showdown between GG and Dumbledore, which would be pretty cool. So then we would assume that Voldemort studies or admires GG in a Kylo/Vader type of way, leading to the Death Eaters and then Harry's prophecy.

I bought the Soundtrack because I like James Newton Howard's Music. That's as far as I'll get to seeing the movie
