Source: Wrestling IncIt looks like WWE Superstars is no more, at least on the WWE Network. The WWE Network does not list a new Superstars episode for this coming Friday and no Superstars matches were taped tonight in Charlotte, North Carolina. WWE did tape Main Event matches tonight in Charlotte - Bo Dallas vs. Sin Cara and The Shining Stars vs. Curtis Axel and Darren Young with WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund. We've reached out to WWE for comment on the status of Superstars and will keep you updated.

UPDATESource: PW InsiderWWE has ended the run of their "WWE Superstars" series, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The series has been replaced by 205 Live, which will officially debut tomorrow and air live every Tuesday on the WWE Network after Smackdown Live goes off the air on the USA Network. Internally, the change is being seen as a way of replacing one series with another that will add greater value to WWE Network subscriptions. Main Event, which had been taped on Tuesdays, will now be taped on Mondays prior to Raw going on the air. The Superstars series was originally a syndicated show that launched in the late 1980s that later shifted over to the USA Network in 1996. Prior to the launch of Monday Night Raw in 1993, it was considered the primary series for WWF and was used to drive storylines directions. As WWF shifted focus to cable programming in the 1993, the series became more of a magazine style show reviewing recent events. The original incarnation ended its run in 2001 on TNN, which at the time was the home of WWF programming on cable. The most recent incarnation was originally launched as an original series for WGN America in April 2009 as well as international syndication. In 2011, the series left WGN and was streamed online on the WWE website before settling into a home on the WWE Network when WWE launched its streaming service in February 2014. The most recent incarnation ran for 398 episodes.

So Main Event moves to Mondays, and 205 gets taped on Tuesdays but the CW's remain on RAW on Mondays.

So Main Event moves to Mondays, and 205 gets taped on Tuesdays but the CW's remain on RAW on Mondays. I'm assuming Main Event will be dual branded from now on. And in the case of the Cruiserweights, I'm assuming that whoever works on RAW that week won't be on 205 Live and vice versa.

If I hadn't seen this post, I never would have known. I barely remembered it was still a thing.

I would say it's a shame if it was the original series back in the 80/90s but I don't even remember this is still on anymore.

Not gonna miss it, haven't watched an episode of Superstars since it first came back in 2009.
My question is though, with Main Event featuring Raw stars, and 205Live taking Superstars spot on Smackdown, where does that leave guys like Apollo Crews, Vaudevillians, Ascension, Jack Swagger, Curt Hawkins, Breezango, etc... who really don't get used frequently on Smackdown? Seems like there isn't a minor show for them to even appear on anymore.

Why can't they make Main Event like this: One match for RAW, One Match for Smackdown and a third match for NXT or Cruiserweights

This makes me want a Smackdown sideshow like velocity. Have development for other characters on it and stuff. I'd like that.
