It's almost they want him to fail as the main guy! Pushing someone this hard when the public aren't buying into it isn't gonna end well.

Owens' title reign has sucked, but making reigns a 4 time champion in 1 year is crazy

this could be perfect for planting the seeds for reigns to be a mega heel. but we've been asking for that for a few years now...

IWC will hate Reigns forever. Doesn't matter if he keeps improving in the ring and with promos, they will always go against the grain with him.

i mean this is dirt sheet speculation at its finest
but at this point, they might as well just do it. its plainly obvious that all they want to do is make reigns the #1 guy in history. so just put all the belts on him and literally have him be that guy. nobody is gonna stop watching or do anything but "boo" the guy....so why not?

LOL Don't tell me that Seth Rollins' reign was good. Or that Owens' current reign isn't horrible. He's constantly being overshadowed by Jericho and he's done nothing memorable. Once again, LOL. I think Seth's reign was good. He played the cowardly heel champion role perfectly. Could he have been booked stronger? Sure, but for what it was, I liked it. I think Owens and Jericho have been golden and the saving grace on Raw in the past few months. My biggest issue with Owens' reign has nothing to do with Owens. They've booked him to be very weak and made him second fiddle while ruining some of his matches (Clash of Champions sticks out) with interference riddled nonsense.

I don't want either of them to be double champions.

Considering the ratings drop over the last few years, it's clear that people HAVE stopped watching. And there's more than one reason for that. Yet it shows that no matter how many people stop watching, very little changes. The draft happened yes. SmackDown is now much different, but Raw is the exact formula that it was before the draft.

Source? They say that NODQ is reporting it but there have been talks of PWinsider reporting it but word out there is that bleacher report may be the ones saying this.

The title picture is a pretty ugly mess at the moment. AJ losing to Elsworth several times, and Owens kind of being portrayed as more of a mid-card title holder. So unnecessary. With all that in mind, it wouldn't shock me to see them do this and make it even more of a hideous mess. Roman is absolutely dreadful in almost every regard to me, but it's clear they have 0 faith in any other face on Raw to be in the main event picture. I guess if they did go this route, it would actually make some sense of him ever getting the US title since it doesn't appear they're going to ever have him actually defend it in a legitimate program. I almost feel like they slapped the belt on him just so they'd have one less section of the show to have to dedicate writing efforts towards. AJ has lost to Ellsworth due to Ambrose's shenanigans. Why don't people understand this? AJ hasn't been hurt at all by this as he hasn't lost clean to James once. Owens on the other hand, now he's been booked like crap.

Regardless of how it happened, it still didn't look very good. I'm not saying it ruins AJ or anything, but it's still annoying to see happen more than once. In the case of AJ, I refer to the Elsworth ordeal as a mess more in the sense that it's really sort of silly waste of time for Styles to be facing this guy numerous times on SD.
