Since we're coming up to WF's 15th Anniversary, as one of the veteran, consistently active members here I thought it would nice to start a discussion to celebrate the occassion and have some discussion/reminiscing between older members and more recent members alike. Couldn't see that one had been started yet.
So what are everyone's thoughts of WF being around so long? What are your standout memories? How has being part of WF affected your life? Etc
I was curious to work out my average posts per day since joining so found a calculator to work out the number of days between two dates, it's simply a matter of dividing your post count by the number of days you've been here (https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html). Apparently I average just over 3 posts per day over the 14+ years I've been here (15 years in January)
When you stop to think about it, it's cool to see WF is still going strong and think of all the memories. Since I first got the internet at home in 2001, WF has always been and will always be my home page! I loved wrestling figures when I joined and still do to this day, though admittedly my interest in the current wrestling product disappeared soon after WCW folded in 2001. I still love the classic Monday Night Wars era product though (particularly WCW), collecting figures of the superstars I remember, and engaging in discussion and critiques of new figures.

I owe whatever modest skills I have at doing customs and fix-ups to WF. That alone made it worth my time to hang around for the four years I've been here.

Best time I ever had on this site was Banter 2K14. Met so many people that I still talk with and know personally today. The laughs were plentiful, and it was just a great group of people. Too bad a lot of them were banned for ty reasons and some just left because of how they didn't like the site anymore. Good times were had then, man.

I remember reading these forums before school in 4th grade(don't ban me), now I'm 23. I'm not even really into wrestling anymore, I've just always found this forum to be entertaining. I never was able to have a long running account and spent a good majority of my years as just a lurker but It's been fun regardless.

I've been here for four years. I was here for Ball Straight Call, I was here for that one dude going out in a porn gif blaze of glory, and I was here to deal with TAVG and Jaymies arguing, and I can honestly say I don't think my time in Banter can be topped for me.

Jack Specific to celebrate this impressive milestone, can you archive and permanently sticky these threads?

Only been here 10 years myself but coming here has pretty much become part of the every day norm. I may or may not post every day but I check the forums daily no matter what.

I met my two best friends through here, one of which I'm going to see WrestleMania with this year. Hype!
WF also showed me my love for writing thanks in part to KvE (my brotha) showing me WFWF for the first time. The foundations I laid there enabled me to become that much better in my eventual chosen career path: teaching. Helping others learn how to write taught me how to teach. I can't begin to tell you what that means to me now.
As for the biggest things I've seen on here...I think the biggest was when Proboards crashed for a week or two and we had Temp WF. Good lord that was an amazing train wreck. Anyone not named Jack had to thoroughly enjoy that.
The single most important, however, would be when we lost Jax. For those of you who don't know, Jax used to be the Stick mod back in the day. He had Cystic Fibrosis, and he started showing up less and less. One day he put up a post in Stick that he was going into the hospital and would be out soon and asked us all to behave while he was gone. We'd find out about two weeks later that he died, a friend of his who was a causal member posted his obituary. If you go onto the Stick board preview, Jack posted a memorial on the preview which is still there today. Miss ya man. Think about you a lot. Best Aussie friend I ever had.
Love this site and its members. All y'all know that. Cheers, and here's to 15 more!

Honestly, there aren't really any people left here who would even remember my best memories here.

I haven't been here long but I've appreciated the help I've gotten planning my collection from this site. I wish I had started collecting just a little sooner but I never liked the look of the jakks figures so I never would have been around any sooner than when Mattel took over anyways. I would not have ever registered if MDT didn't have a presence here, but even though he is scarcely heard from I'm glad I decided to be a member. I'll be around for a while now, as long as Mattel still has the wwe contract.
