Umm... AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor could all out shine Cena if he ever steps down. And that's not taking into consideration the talent in NXT. Wrestling ability wise? Yeah. But if I own a billion dollar company, I'm not going to want some scruffy fat guy as my spokesperson and it's as simple as that. There needs to be an appealing image, something that captures your eye (mainly kids) to draw people in and Cena has that. Kevin Owens does not. A little kid who doesn't know anything about wrestling sees a poster with Cena in his bright colors and infectious smile on it above the figures and I'm sure he's gonna check it out. If a fat scruffy Kevin Owens was on the poster in plain colors, the kid may not be so interested in checking it out. Back in the Attitude era, Mick Foley was one of the faces of the company. Showing up everywhere on TV shows, talk shows, what have you. True Kevin Owens doesn't have a mask and the bizarre look that Mankind had, but still.

Nobody can replace John Cena. He's a one of a kind talent

I'd like to say Balor but, even as a Balor fan, I find his promo work a little weak. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of American Alpha as top dog as someone else said. Or maybe even Rodrick Strong... but in terms of someone to fill Cena's shoes I think it's gotta be some home grown talent. I like the way this guy thinks. AA and Roddy are both fantastic. Any of them could pull off the clean cut face role no problem.

If he changes up his shirt/shorts color scheme, Kevin Owens could sell more merch- as a face- than John Cena. He has that every day man appeal to him in the same sense that I'm sure people once said that the company couldn't/wouldn't get behind someone like Daniel Bryan, The Rock, Shawn Michaels or even Stone Cold.

Umm... AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor could all out shine Cena if he ever steps down. Do you genuinely think that any of those three can outdo John Cena? Or are you just saying you like them more? I believe John Cena has that entertainment value that WWE has based themselves around- and don't get me wrong, I don't think he's as terrible a wrestler as other people probably do, but compared to people who have held their own outside of WWE John Cena is not a good wrestler. That being said, I believe those three (and even Nakamura and Samoa Joe) have the same entertainment value as John Cena in the way that the kids will buy into their merchandise and want to see them on television and, yet, they are all also just better all around wrestlers. Now, of course, this all depends upon how WWE markets them because, well, remember back when the Bray Wyatt character seemed poised to become the next Undertaker?

Asking that question insinuates you need a poster boy. There is nothing wrong with John Cena at all, but WWE started going downhill once they put all their time and resources into one guy.
There is nobody and I mean NOBODY on the current WWE roster than can bring what John Cena has brought to the table over the past 14 years. Absolutely nobody. Comparing John Cena to anyone on the current roster would be an insult to Cena.
Still cannot believe Ambrose called him LAZY. GTFOH.

Vince and Triple H, crazy as they are, still have to have some attachment to reality.

Apollo Crews. Jk. But go Apollo! Apollo could have been (and maybe still could be) a really good candidate for it, but he's been hurt by being thrown onto the main roster before he was anywhere near ready. Can definitely see him being the guy on the posters and bedsheets and talk shows one day, he needs to put all the pieces together though before he just becomes Velocity Guy #2477654. Hopefully it'll happen in time!

They already tried to have the Miz as a replacement for Cena and it failed. And I do not see another John Cena coming up in NXT anytime soon. The Miz cant even get over as a mid carder. Every time they slap an IC or US title on him the world lets out a huge sigh. Its to the point they had to bring back his smoking hot wife just for people to give a reaction to him.

People would be waiting longer for Kevin Owens turning face than they would for John Cena turning heel. If Kevin Owens turns face and starts wearing white shirts and shorts for his ring attire, I will stop making fun of him for being fat.

They already tried to have the Miz as a replacement for Cena You might be thinking of a storyline someone created in an old SmackDown vs Raw game or something. Miz has never been put in John Cena's role. The only people that have ever really been put forward as taking Cena's spot are Bryan (for about a month before he had to bow out) and Reigns. I guess Sheamus was being groomed for it at one point too. Then there are guys on the babyface tier below that like Batista, Mysterio, Orton and Punk... Miz has never even been around that level. His only main event push came as a heel.

I would say AJ Styles, but he is the same age as John Cena and only has a couple more years left in him. I'll say either Seth Rollins or Finn Balor who will carry the WWE.

Personally, I don't think WWE is popular enough mainstream wise to create another Cena. Combine that with the fact Cena is simply a one of a kind talent and the answer is simple. They can't replace him nor should they try to.

There is no "should" in this case. It has to be organic (for the most part). Hogan...Austin/Rock...Cena... ...when it happens, we'll know. Couldn't agree more.

The age of "one guy with all eggs in the basket" simply doesn't work anymore.
