wow some of us need to lighten up a bit. from the very first post rustyjohnson indicated that this was tongue-in-cheek; there's really no need for internet white knights. The guy knows Bill has no control over anything but design; hence why he called him "William". Just good old Canadian humour that's all eh. And the fact of the matter is, we all just have to laugh up here in Canada because there's nothing else we can do. The UK has an excuse of a whole frikken pond between them and the States, but what's our excuse? the cost of dual-language packaging preventing most toys from coming here, that's "What"!

The USA is the primary market and Target and Walmart are USA stores so I believe they've asked for exclusives possibly.
I'm open to being corrected on this if it's incorrect.
I'm from the UK to.

Especially when his responses are insulting other members, calling names and even more whining that someone has to be able to give him the answer he wants. If not Bill, then Bill should be able to "pass a memo" to who can. It wasn't tongue-in-cheek. It was more self-entitlement on these forums. Canada hasn't gotten these Exclusives and might not. Deal with it. Not everyone gets everything they want at the cost they want it. If you want it bad enough, looks like you're gonna have to pay more for it.

It's kind of sad when people think that the head designer is in fact, singlehandedly running Mattels WWE line. He designs the figures. He doesn't make them, he doesn't paint them, he doesn't pack them, he doesn't order them on behalf of the stores, he doesn't distribute them, he doesn't unload the trucks at the stores, he doesn't replenish the shelves. He DESIGNS them. and why is it SAD for someone (i.e. me - but good job) to think a head designer who works for mattel might be able to answer a question or pass along an inquiry as to why or let someone know. NO not someone like Bill. That's just 'sad'... No need to be a condescending jag-off. How bout spout 'speaktomeaholes'? It's very sad. As I said, he designs the figures. The sooner people get that into their 'brains' the better. Email Mattel and stop being such defensive brat

^^ who peed in your cornflakes guys? He is a child or a troll. I was surprised to see you try and defend him. Unless youre just as bitter about the situation. You usually seem pretty mature. This guys posts, not so much. Bill doesnt owe us any explanation or even have to post here. He does though and some people think they should berate or criticize things he doesnt control. He stated that 2pack, 4pack, elites etc were done, and here we are getting more because certain retailers demanded them. All I saw the last 3 years or so is how Target in Canada stopped caring about WWE figures, and were supposed to be surprised when they didnt ask for cases of exclusives?

Well I don't know who rustyjohnsn is from rust nails. I dipnt follow his posts. I read the original post and thought it was harmless. What I do know that there are legit costs to bilingual packaging which prevents many toys from hitting retail here. Am i bitter? Nah, more frustrated like the rest of the toy collecting world. Sorry if I misread his post, but I really didn't see it as anything but funny. Who else will call bill "William" other than his mom.

Don't get me wrong I'm a big bandy fan, but that dude is 28 and has been here for years so I'm not sure he's a child or a troll. I have to agree with him in that I don't think the op was being tongue in cheek. I think he was being a wise guy. There are construction ways to get answers to questions and calling bill "William" and demanding answers is what makes him not want to interact with us.

What, is there like 15 active collectors in canada?
With the abundance of e39, sounds like no ones buying figures up there.
Walmart or mattel are probably not that confident in the market.

The guy makes a harmless post and gets destroyed. You've gotta love people typing the same responses. I'd be pissed off if I couldn't get the exclusives too.

You see, usually we would get 2-3 cases per wave max per store when we did get Elites. E39 doubled that amount. Since December of 2015,most of the Elites we've been receiving were E39. We did get E40 late spring last year (1 case per the stores that had them) and Lost Legends in October-ish? And then there were some occasions where we went back even further and got E37. You can even see on Amazon Canada that they got a bunch of them in for no reason. No idea why whenever walmart decides to order figures, that we'd get the same waves over and over again.

Must just have a bunch in their warehouses through out the country. They dont specifically order a series. Maybe they send the dead stock from the us, up to you guys

I understand your plight. I also live in Canada and it gets incredibly frustrating how my hobby I've had for 20+ years is dying a slow, expensive death.
I seem to recall reading that all of Mattel's stuff is up for grabs for international markets, and those markets decide what they want. I've been having a hard time trying to determine who to blame here. Is it that stock and supply ordering systems are more advanced, yet clunkier? Or are those who decide what our market wants simply out of touch?
When Jakks had the license, I had rarely a problem finding regular stock, if any. That being said, Jakks products weren't just cheaper, they were more cheaply made, too.
Not to mention the state of our dollar means ordering a figure from online sources can run me upwards of $50 with shipping.
So, I end up in this cycle of frustration. In 2015 we got Elite series's 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 once. After the one time we got 40, we went right back to E39 for an entire year. Not just warming, but constantly reordered. For Christmas 2015 they had cases of E34-39 put out in good quantities. This year, it was just more and more cases of E39 being added to the pile with the occasional case of E37 sprinkled about. Very frustrating when you have no idea how any of it works, or why we only get new stock 1-2 times a year if at all.
Is it a case of only E39 being available for order? Or are retailers only ordering the same series over and over? And why is this issue (seemingly) only with Mattel Elite figures? It's not like Walmart toy departments are entirely sparse throughout Canada, it's just WWE sections. It's mind boggling considering the second something new comes in, it's instantly all bought so you'd think they'd want to make money.
EDIT: after reading all this nonsense I must clarify that I am not trying to sympathize with a troll. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in regards to my experiences.
