Just to quibble, I don't think one can be tried or found guilty/not guilty in a civil suit. Only found to be responsible for, say, a wrongful death. Perhaps someone in here with a law degree could clarify. potato/potahto. Same difference. He lost a trial. To quote Jay Z: I'm not a lawyer but I know a little bit. There is a big difference between a criminal trial and a civil suit. In the former, the plaintiff is the state, in the latter it is not. And the burden of proof is lesser in a civil trial. There's no recognition of guilt in a civil trial. It's an important distinction. But like I said, I believe in our justice system, but there's enough smoke here for me that I can say I don't need a figure of him.

So to sum up, there was a trial. And he lost.

Commissioned a custom barefoot Supa fly Snuka. I don't think we'll get any more figures of him. This is the figure we should have gotten. Great figure. Who did you commission the figure from/to? Which bare foot did you get that from? Thanks! Search Joey from FB page Wrestling Customs 101 . Bare foot from Legends Kevin Von Erich. You should provide the parts tho.

Bumping this because he's dead and to say that him being dead isn't likely to change Mattel's stance on putting out another figure of him.

Sad to hear he passed away. I might get heat, but everyone is human, and we all make mistakes, but he happened to make a mistake that can't be forgiven. But it is deeply sad, hopefully 2017 isn't the year for 2017 Wrestling deaths. RIP Jimmy Snuka 😢😭😔

Anyone who has read up on the case will see that he was at best guilty of not doing more to save her life, and at worst, is directly responsible for her death.
I was a huge fan of the guy but I'm not gonna blind myself to overwhelming evidence that he did something horrible just because I liked the Superfly Splash.
The guy shouldn't get a pass just because you liked his matches or want a toy of him.

Until a judge and jury say the words Guilty, you are not his judge.

With the murder trial, its made everyone forget he was in the concussion suit too. To this point, since he was declared unable to stand trial, are we to assume his wife was the one that added him to that lawsuit? I realize that wouldn't make a difference in Mattel's ability to use his likeness, but I've been curious about it.

Can this thread be locked now ? The man is dead now. If he would have lived and been found innocent at his trial i would be all for more figures being made of him.
He was found unfit to stand trial, WWE/Mattel are not going to come anywhere near this. It would open them up to lawsuits from the victims family.
Why would WWE put themselves in that situation to make a toy/action figure ? Not going to happen and should not happen.

"Mattel, you cant make a figure of SJS because he wasnt found guilty of murdering our daughter 33 years ago."

Until a judge and jury say the words Guilty, you are not his judge. Did the Argentino family win the civil suit? If so, how much did they collect? Yes. They were awarded a $500,000 judgment against Jimmy Snuka, and the WWE Legend was found liable in Nancy’s death. But Snuka has never paid a dime of it. He insisted that he never hurt Nancy, that he was sorry for her family’s loss, and moreover, that he was broke. The WWE had fired him, and although he would continue to wrestle intermittently for the WWE and for smaller promotions, his glory days were gone, and he always squandered any fortune he managed to acquire. Today, Snuka lives from paycheck to paycheck, and his third wife claims that he’s simply forgotten about what he owed to whom. Got any more cracking sources for your info please? Maybe we can get JFKs real killer from Buzzfeed. Or the real first man on the moon from CNN. We already had a figure dispite the civil suit being well known.... so not sure what the point is there. And I own 2 Kevin von Erichs... I'm just off to read the history of the Democratic party. Written by George W Bush... Very naive to believe everything you read. Im condident he was someway culpable. But its not my job to guess the truth.

Have you noticed you are the only one who is arguing everyone about this. I don't wish death on my worst enemy, hope he rests in peace but come on dude. Give it up. He more than likely killed her and has escaped any and all financial or criminal responsibility for 30+ years. Save the yahoo stinks and jury of his peers gaga for your bathroom mirror.

I noticed a two way conversation..... Forgetting the source of the stories, just as with the sick boy the other day, whatever your opinion is, (And it is just a media enforced opinion here) when someone has died, or is dying, just use the manners that you should have been taught as a kid and have a bit of class and decorum.

Not disagreeing with you there. Just got the vibe you were making it seem like he is completely innocent. Which he most certainly is not. Either way, RIP
