Highly unlikely. Only way we're seeing the Birds is if its Hayes & Garvin in their black & confetti stripe tights. I was coming in here to say this......I reckon a basic 2 pack of Garvin & Hayes circa 1991 is our best shot. Id buy that. I would LOVE Mattel figs of Gordy & Williams.....The Miracle Violence Connection. One of my FAVOURITE teams. I gotta say though? I'm pretty happy with my Jakks set of them. Gave Bam Bam a different torso mind you because the tubby one didnt suit him.

I would buy only because I watched them in WCCW in the early 80s. But I can't imagine many other people wanting them. They're such a niche item that there's no way they would sell, even as exclusives.

Can people please stop making suggestions that hurt the line instead of helping it.
Now que Vince McMahon's theme music for your answer.

I think the very best shot at this is a HOF two-pack with Hayes and Garvin. Done right, they could be really cool looking figures.

It's kind of messed up how wrestling toy lines have changed. We got so many obscure names and lower tier guys in the Jakks CS line. Now with Mattel, people freak out if an older/obscure name(s) for Elite/DM/Multi-packs is suggested because they fear it won't sell and will kill a line/moniker they like.
I'm not putting blame on anyone for this, or even trying to attack any of the responses here. Just an honest observation. There shouldn't be any issue at all with people like the Freebirds getting figures. Same goes for a lot of others. It's rather unfortunate that this is what things have come to with the line.

They could even do a two pack with just Hayes and Garvin. Cool thing about the Freebirds is they can work in a 2 pack, 3 pack, or 4 pack. Aside from heads, they don't really need any new tooling and their gear wasn't really too flashy. The entrance gear was flashier than the regular ring gear.

Yeah if the Four Horseman pack clugged the shelves, then I believe the Freebirds would face a similar fate if not worse.

The Classic line was just a different cup of tea. For starters you never had any sort of "old school" figures before so the older generation jumped on the nostalgia. Secondly the Classic line was their own line & solely funded. Flashbacks are still part of the Elite series so funding of a Michael Hayes figure has to be shared with the funding of another boring ass Miz figure. Thirdly the over all price has risen quite significantly. 6 figures from Mattel @ RSC is anywhere between $125-$150. Yet I paid I think $79 for a pre order of CS 11 from RSC and it consisted of 8 figures.

I think they'll eventually do it. I don't think it'll go over very well, no matter how cool they look(probably won't do confederate flags, see Boss Man) because they haven't been a thing for nearly 30 years and they're from the less remarkable days of WCW. Sales be damned though, I would really like to see Terry Gordy and Dr. Death as Mattel figures someday. Doc & Gordy 2 pack would be awesome!

I can easily see this being a part of the HOF line. I'd buy it the first time I see it.

Given Mattel's love affair with sabotaging their multipack elite lines, I'd say they're pretty good!
