This thread is basically to discuss when you think wrestlers had their prime year. Basically, Someone will assign you a name and you just give your opinion on when you think they were in their prime. This should be fun to see other members opinions on different superstars, and you can say the same superstar more than once.
I'll start with Triple H.. I believe his prime was in 2002. He came back from that quad injury to an amazing ovation in MSG, he was in great shape. He then won the 2002 Royal Rumble and defeated Jericho at Wrestlemania 18 to become the Undisputed champion. He was awarded the Big Gold Belt on RAW by Eric Bischoff and he had one of the greatest feuds with Shawn Michaels and put on some 5-star matches with him and some of my personal favorites. Yes, the whole Katie Vick angle happened in 2002.. but let's just forget about that.
Next superstar: Shawn Michaels

1996. Returning at the Rumble, winning it a second year in a row, and having the classic Iron Man match at Mania 12. Intercontinental champ stuff was primer, and DX was comedic, but 95-96 Shawn was definitely prime.

mid 1990s, was not a fan of the deadman return after WM20, but i did like the badass gimick. However I think he was most dominant mid 1990s up to the ministry era.

2005-2008. Rated R Superstar was the best thing that ever happened to him and he lived the gimmick up until 2009 when WWE went PG and the gimmick couldn't be used to it's fullest potential.

Clearly his 1yr reign with the SD title in 03.

'98. You can argue that '97 was his rise but '98 was Austin's year. His feuds with McMahon, Taker, Kane, and Foley were legendary and it remains the peak year of the Attitude era IMO.

When he fist joined WCW from '94 to '96.. he was good and fast in the ring and looked the part. Matches with Flair, Luger, Savage, etc.. I would say from this time up to the formation of the NWO.
Next: Cena

John Cena has to be 2005-2006. It's was the time he beat credible big names for the first time, angle, HHH, Jericho, big show, umagas undefeated streak, plus surviving the chamber the whole entire match. He I feel really was T his prime after that his routine got stale.
Randy Orton.

The Undertaker didn't reach his prime until 1997. Before hand he was mediocre in the ring.
Most guys I find reach their prime when they reach 40. Finlay, Hogan, Goldust HBK etc are perfect examples.

Randy Orton... around Rated RKO. Him and Edge were awesome and I loved that period for Randy.

1996 as Diesel and Kevin Nash. He peaked as a character, and had a great match with Bret at IYH, an incredible match with HBK at another IYH, and him and Taker had a very good Mania match.
In WCW he reinvented the wheel with Hall and Hogan.

Tough one, even though he had many great years in WWE, Im gonna go with 2001. No one figured he'd be the face of the WWE during the Invasion angle, yet he was a monster face during the summer of '01. Also put on great matches with Rock, Benoit, Austin, RVD, even Shane O'Mac.

Character wise, when he debuted in '95. Wrestling wise, right now. Dude is amazing for his age.

1997. Yes he worked only one match all year but popularity wise, he was at his peak and was up there with Hogan and Austin with crossover appeal.
Next: Booker T

Booker T I would say 2006 as king Booker. In WCW he has the rock 2.0 but in 2006 he made the king of the ring winner gimmick work well.
Next: Braden Walker lol.

1997 for sure. He had an amazing year and his attack on Shawn Michaels at DX IYH is one of my all time favorite moments.
Next Finlay.
