Even though I was old enough to be a fan of his I wasn't really.
I am a Tamina fan though so it does suck for her.

Curse of wm 7 ? These guys are getting old that's like saying the Chicago Cubs of 1904 are cursed because they are all gone lol. Only about 3 or 4 were old. (Snuka, Monsoon, Fuji..maybe someone else) the rest were in their 30s/40s/50s...Every time someone on the card dies though its said its the curse of WM7

Savage bulldog perfect elizabeth were drugs
Dino had some mob dealings and did something that pissed them off.
Warrior earthquake got diseases like cancer and heart failure.
Snuka was like 70-80 people die.

Shame to hear. I imagine Piper is waiting in the afterlife with a coconut in hand ready to greet him.

Bizarre to see this thread full of members paying their respect. Only a couple of weeks ago there was a multi-page thread full of members posting nothing but hate towards him.
R.I.P. to him though. Was fun to watch as a wrestler, regardless of what really happened in 1983.

Not the biggest fan of his, but I still respect him for the things he did in WWE. RIP

Do we really want him to rest in peace if he murdered someone and never paid for it? I kind of feel like he should rest in pain or something.
Not that I believe in the afterlife and heaven and hell and all that. So I think he just got away with murder and that's that.

WM7 curse is just an old wives tale...no reason for you all to get so damn uppity.

Shame, real shame. It's so sad to see all of these wrestlers come and go, I'm getting to that age where that perspective begins to form. Ugh, I hate it. RIP

Although his heyday was JUST before my time, and I didn't appreciate him the way he deserved to be appreciated in his prime, I recognize him as an all-time great, an innovator of high-flying whose work - either directly or indirectly - inspired everyone from Jeff Hardy to Seth Rollins. He was also one of the first superstars to have an incredible physique. Everyone remembers Superstar Billy Graham (rightfully), but before Superfly, so many of the 'smaller' guys had the dad-bods or worse. RIP to one of the greatest legends the business has ever seen.
Nobody besides Snuka himself knows what happened that night. For the rest of his life he was a person, and there's no denying that he was a trailblazer. I just wish that he hadn't been on the outs with WWE in his final months. It's terrible that he didn't live to see himself honored for his hard work and accomplishments. It makes WWE's tweet, and whatever they do tomorrow night and at the end of the year seem a hollow gesture. He's dead, so now it's ok to honor him. I know why they did it, but as usual I don't agree with it. That's why I don't work for a publicly traded corporation.

his ljn figure that was fairly an inaccurate portrayal + foley's references to snuka jumping off the cage were the only real moments of recognition i had with him throughout my fanhood except for the last few years where i've gone back and started watching wrestling from the past. was most certainly a crazy talent for his time.
