I think that the talking figures is a fine idea to please children. Toy, after all, are meant for kids. I know that eventually all of those talking figures will end up in the clearance bins anyway. First, as always, that's not how the budget for lines works. Second, how are these "abominations"? These are actually a lot closer to the look, feel, and scale of the basic and elite figures than the Zombies, Mutants, Retro, and Ninja Superstars are. And last, there is ALWAYS a line that is targeted towards the younger audience. Flex Force, Flex Force Lightning, Rumblers, Slam City, Super Strikers, Create-a-Superstar, Brawlin' Buddies, etc. I really feel that had the create a figure line been in an elite fashion with all original parts it would have been successful. Instead though we got basic Cenas that we could assemble for mattel. I, too, felt the Create-A-Superstar line had potential if they just worked on it a little. Give us unique molds instead of cookie cutting from an already existing Superstar (Kane, Cena, Reigns, Etc.), Up the quality to match the Elite/Basics, & add in women. I feel this line would have definitely lasted if they did some things differently. P.S. Im new here. Please dont hate me 😅.

You don't understand business/economics. Perhaps you are buying up basics with batteries at near elite prices? You're so smart. No, you dont understand. If you take money from one line and dedicate it to another, then that line just becomes more expensive. They will always pass the price onto us. They have figures from $2.99-24.99 mighty minis-DMs. These appeal to different customers. While most of us would prefer basics/elites (and even say us as kids would) doesnt mean that there isnt someone looking for an alternative, or something new. Last I checked the prices for what sells hasn't increased. Where are they passing on the failed costs to us? Your point makes zero sense. Clarify how we are paying for these failures? We aren't. They are cutting costs on the lines that do sell to make up the difference. A Starbucks barista could arrive at that conclusion on their own. Perhaps simple business economics is too much for you to grasp.

There's a reason for Not getting as many accessories Not getting as much cloth Not getting display stands Not getting name tags Letting shoddy figures get through instead of scrapping them Not signing anyone outside of Legends deals anymore Making up for money spent/lost/wasted on crap lines that fail year after year Doesn't sound so far fetched to me
