simply put, if people buy them they'll make more of them. If they sit on shelves then they won't. I know there's a lot of mattel collectors who have no interest in the Hasbro line and don't understand the appeal of these ("Bah gahd look at the lack of articulation!") but there's plenty that do. Me personally, I loved the Hasbros. They were from my childhood and represented everything fun and colourful about that era. I love action figures, but these current regular figures from Mattel have never interested me. They all look the same to me. For years I've literally had the occasional dream where I walk into a shop and on the shelves are new versions of the old hasbros. I resigned myself to the "fact" that I'd never ever see that in real life. But yet, these new retro figures have come along 20 years later and I'm absolutely desperate to get my hands on them. So if there aren't any more series, just know, whoever is responsible for that, i will go full Liam Neeson on you. I couldn't agree more!

I haven't found them yet, but I really hope we get a couple more waves. Assuming these sell decently, I would think we will. The production/sculpting cost has to be a good bit lower than mutants or zombies.
Heck, if they stay true to the style Hasbro only had a handful of body types. Even in the first wave, Warrior and Cena have the same torso and Brock and Owens have the same lower half from the photos I've seen. Hopefully it's profitable enough to at least get the rumored series 2. A Diesel or Surfer Sting would be my holy grail for this line.

That would be a cool series 2 I think if that rumor is true. The Warrior one seriously needed to be orange or white. Maybe they can do another one.

Picked up Lesnar and Cena today. Just couldn't bring myself to buy a Owens or Roman. The hard part is now to decide if I should keep them moc or open them...

I'm with you on this. These have been my top want for 20 years. I have to say that since I bought the 4 they've released so far, my interest in other lines has slightly faded. All I'm worried about now is getting more of these. If they actually made a ring I think my head would explode. I even bought Roman. His retro figure is awesome. And I used the wwe championship belt that came with the Toysrus elite Seth Rollins as the belt for the retros. I think it looks great!

For some reason, I couldn't physically grab any off a shelf to buy. Then I'd wake up in disappointment. Fortunately, years later, I found my three boyhood heroes in MOC Hasbro form (see sig below). I bit the bullet and ordered a KO Retro. It'll be here in a couple days. It's my first Kevin Owens figure. After passing up his ROH one, I figured I couldn't make the same mistake here. As far as future Retros, I'd love to have a Stunning Steve Austin (1993-ish Blond hair, multicolored biker tights).

What if they did the big talking figures OMG?! I assume Cena would get done. Brock doesn't say enough. Modern I'd be down with a Rollins big one. Classic, gotta be Austin or Rock though.

As have I. For some reason, I couldn't physically grab any off a shelf to buy. Then I'd wake up in disappointment. Add me to the list of people who dream of Hasbros. I have had a variety of those dreams over the years. Sometimes I would wake up disappointed that it was all just a dream but other times I would wake up in a great mood because it brought back so many happy feelings. My nearest Walmart is 45 minutes. If I can't find them there, I might just pay double on Ebay and get the whole first series.

Why PAIN? if Mattel Retro Release are WAY CHEAPER in sales cost $7.44 compare to standard figures and elite one that ranges from $9.99 to $20.00 This doesn't make sense? This past weekend, I bought my first new wrestling figures since 1994... the new Mattel Retro figures. As a Hasbro collector, I was excited the second news hit that these would be released. I was excited, but didn't really think I would buy them. As weeks and months passed following the announcement, I finally came to grips that after a 23 year gap in collecting, I was ready to jump back on the horse. I checked Walmart daily when rumors started spreading that they were out. After about 4 trips, I found Brock, Cena and Roman. Doubled back a few days later and found KO. Now I find myself in total limbo. Haha! I'm so jealous of all of the main line Mattel collectors who have damn near hundreds of upcoming figures to look forward to! Here I am with my 4 figures...no idea what's going on with the Undertaker and Warrior... no idea what, if anything, is next? Will there be a ring? Are rumors of Series 2 true? • Kane • Triple H • Stone Cold Steve Austin • The Rock • Sting • Mankind Or is this it?? If this is a one time thing, I will still say that I'm thankful that Mattel brought out the 6th grader in me again!

Seen the retro figures for a minute now at my Walmart. Like the idea of them but the current superstars in this form just doesn't do anything for me. The only ones I'll contemplate buying will be flashbacks.
