Has there ever been a time when more companies have been making wrestling figures at the same time?

Wwe wont want to go anywhere else. Mattel as a whole, is the top dog in the game. This. Mattel is the number one toy company in the world. Fact, not opinion. (See: Hot Wheels and Barbie) WWE is the number one wrestling company in the world. Or at least they want to be. So why would they settle for anything else? Without saying anything bad about either Mattel or Jakks, I think Mattel has certainly found some creative ways to get figures we otherwise might not have gotten and from Randy Savage to AJ Styles, Mattel has given us many, many names that only seemed like a pipe dream when Jakks had the line. So I hope/believe they will stick with Mattel for the long run.

For me it's ride or die with Mattel. I had Jakks figures all through the line but the quality was terrible towards the end, and Jakks didn't pull off anything as consistently superb as the Elite line has been (I can't imagine them pulling off anything even half as good as any of the Finn Balor elites or Asuka, for example). Even when Mattel have their problems (QC issues, some incorrect part choices) it pales in comparison to black underwear Edge/Mark Henry, TTL arms used for a whole Adrenaline series and so many more Jakks gaffes

I'm into my elite collection for about $3500 over the last 2 years and I really hope WWE sticks with Mattel for the long haul. I have no idea what the terms of the deal are and I've heard there's a chance they may go back to Jakks. Anyone have any intel on the subject? You can contact Mattel Consumer Service: 1-800-524-8697 Or check the legality of usage of WWE Trademarked products at WWE Copyright : www.wwe.com/main-help/generalfaq/copyrightand if you want a specific answer, you can ask them via e-mail: permission@wwe.com
I had contacted them before, they are responsive to questions (as long as it is legitimate)

As a kid and young teenager I was heavily into Jakks figures. I had my own fed and loved playing with them. I bought less towards the end of the line because they were THAT bad. I was hesitant to start buying Mattel when they got the license because I was already older and didn't want to start from scratch.
I only bought my favorites, maybe 10-15 figures a year. Mattel has given us great product and a LARGE variety of superstars covering all eras. I don't think I would buy anything from a new figure producer considering I'm older than I was when they switched from Jakks and basically have all of my favorites in figure form. I doubt I'd care to have anyone from 2019 and beyond because I'm already pretty down on WWE as a whole as it is.

Who started these rumours? Someone in Jakks? Not a chance, and whoever started this fantasy was giving their mind a treat.

I decided several years back that whenever Mattel was done with the WWE line I would be done collecting modern wrestling figures. I am going to go back to the LJN line and fill in the missing holes from my collection. When I am done with that, I will finish my hasbro collection. After that, Galoob and so on.
