Geniune query! Thanks Can’t find the listing, but t’s possible that being the first Asuka is the seller’s justification for the high price. How much is it? It’s more likely a scalper who paid full price as soon it came out and wants to exploit us in order to make some easy money. It wasn’t rare, but they are long gone from Smyths now. They might end up in B&M or Home Bargains in about a year or maybe in The Entertainer in 6 months.

There where loads on the shelves kinda what it's like now with the Alexa bliss elite at the minute It's only at 14.50 at the minute , I've seen it sell for £20 on the bay

Here is a list from the Suns website stating when the last TRUS will close. Sorry it's a little blurred - I had to shrink it down, so I could do a screen grab.

Assuming "Metro" on that list is mine at the MetroCentre. It correlates with the signs on the window saying they're closing in 9 days anyway. Might go in one last time then to see what is left, and at what discount. Probably 90% off by then.

Is it just because they initially sold out and are no longer in shops? Or people on ebay trying to rip fellow noobs like myself off lol

But the guy is probably chancing his luck and hoping someone who doesn't know what he is doing will buy It! Tbh mate if I were you I'd hold off! At the end of the day waiting a while won't drive the price of the figure up! Try and find it cheaper elsewhere the guy is just a scalper

Quite new to the site, do you guys tend to keep them boxed or open them up? In truth if i was to start collecting again I would probably keep them boxed and I imagine in years to come the price would rise? I mean im an insanely huge wrestling fan and like the idea of collecting however could be a nice payout say in 20 years time (i realise this is a random example but I think you’ll understand what i’m getting at lol)

I personally open mine As for the financial side of it, when I started collecting several years ago there was a pretty decent market for WWE Mattels, they sold pretty well in store and there was a decent secondary market for them on eBay and the like. Unfortunately in the last couple of years, particularly in the last year, for one reason or another the market seems to be on a down swing. People aren't buying figures at retail like they used to (either because they have no interest in the guys being produced, or because of paint apps, or they're waiting for heavy reductions, things of that nature), so loads of figures are ending up heavily discounted and in many cases now ending up in your clearance spots like B&M's and Home Bargains. People are also having a much harder time shifting figures now on places like eBay and Facebook groups than they would have a few years ago. LONG AND SHORT... if the thought of making a small profit or even your money back is a factor in deciding whether or not to start collecting, then I'd probably steer clear. Things may pick up, but chances are they'll go the way of Jakks and ultimately be worthless

There was 2 Auska figs in each case same as the Alexa. The figures just aren't selling probably due to lack of demand.

Things may pick up, but chances are they'll go the way of Jakks and ultimately be worthless I agree to this to an extent, definitely don't go into this game thinking about profit as the market constantly changes... but.... I've just sold pretty much all of my collection I'm down to the last 50 figs, and I've made a very tidy profit, I had around 213 individual MOC figs and around 10 loose, I've sold them for around an average cost per fig of £40, some sold for less (£20 for DM Taker for example) and some sold for a lot more (pink and black ringside bret for £199) so I'm close to taking in around £10,000 and I spent nowhere near that for my figs, as the majority I brought were at retail price. So Yes you can make some money but on the other hand its not worth going in thinking you will, if the market goes down, so does the cost of the figs and bare in mind I've collected for years now so the profit in terms of how long I've been collecting is very little

wwfoldschool88 Is a trip down to TRU in Liverpool worth it? Can't be assed with a 20 minute walk if all I'm gonna be greeted with are fashion dolls and a Jerry Saggs elite haha.

Not wrestling related - but Asda have all the Marvel Legends Avengers Infinity War figures in at £18.97 each.

Sorry for another noob question guys but is there a reason why people tend to not order/import from ringside collectibles or american websites as the conversion rate is **** agreed but still I imagine would work out cheaper?

It's not cheaper due to excessive shipping charges and then customs (And handing) fees on top of that.
