All along I've assumed they are building to Cena vs Taker for the WWE Title but I'm less sure now simply because of the EC. Styles wins at the Royal Rumble which could be sold as bringing his career full circle from his debut. Cena wins at Elimination Chamber which Styles blames Shane O setting up that rumored match. Cena now faces 'Taker (RR winner) at Wrestlemania. 2 Birds, 1 Stone. True but they'd have to keep Taker off of RAW from after the RR until EC in that scenario. And either way, if the Rumble winner doesn't start a feud with the RAW Champ on the RAW after the Rumble, it'll become obvious they are holding out to fight the Smackdown Champ.

Got a HUGE feeling we're getting swerved. It's gonna be Braun, Balor or someone completely random that none of us are expecting thanks to this build.

Really unfortunate that it's been made blatantly obvious that no one on Smackdown has a shot in hell at winning the Rumble, and even the guy who is most often associated with Smackdown makes his Rumble related appearances on Raw. Was really hoping this was the year that a true fan favorite on the rise won. We haven't had that in over a decade at this point, and the last several years have just been brutal. Evidently, that's not happening. Taker is the best of a bunch of really, really bad choices. Disagree. Zayn, Joe, and Nakamura all have a shot. Maybe AJ loses and enters the Rumble. I see what your saying kind of, but i honestly dont think its going to go how WWE is portraying. Theyd have us believe its gonna come down to Taker, Goldberg, and Lesnar. SD! getting the EC ppv made me think a Raw guy woukd win and the EC would be for SD's Mania spot. But with it being for the title id think again. Wouldnt rule SD! out. Corbin, Ziggler, AJ or Cena entering after their match, and winning would all b nice swerves. Of the three you mentioned, one is an extreme long shot (Zayn) and the other two are just borderline fantasy booking, honestly. I just don't see any viable way either of those guys are even being considered unless Vince McMahon has relinquished control to Triple H and we just don't know it yet. If anything, I'd expect it to be a returning Balor, and I find that unlikely. I think the swerve is just Strowman. They pulled back the reigns (no pun intended) on him tonight to draw attention away from him so that it'll be a "surprise" when he wins. If it's not him, I expect it to be Taker. I don't think Lesnar or Goldberg is likely at all. I expect them to eliminate each other. I'd absolutely love to be wrong on all accounts, but I just don't see it.

Meh.
such a lackluster last segment. Goldberg couldn't even remember the name of the Universal title, he was delirious from bumping his head & then Brock came out & made $1 million for doing nothing again, then 'Taker came onto RAW for dumb reasons once again. I didn't like it, despite some people here fangasming.
I'm not really hyped for the Rumble match itself, strangely. I think I'm most excited about NEville/Swann & AJ/Cena.
The Sami/Rollins match was amazing. Makes me wish they'd do more with both of their characters.

Cool ending. I was hoping for any Goldberg/Taker involvement to be saved for the Rumble. That would have been great. I went back and watched the 1990 Rumble match the other day, and it would have been a good comp to the Hogan/Warrior faceoff. I still think we are gonna get swerved in the end. I can't see any of the 3 winning the match

The crowd was ready to anoint him when he returned, and they completely destroyed him.

@j12 I agree that it likely won't be Goldberg or Lesnar. Although if it is one of them it'll probably be Goldberg.
If it's not Undertaker, though, smart money says it'll be a current guy. The possibilities are really exciting to be honest. I'm gonna give them a chance to prove me right before getting on their backs.

Yeah, I was WTFing from Brock and Taker because it really smacked of overblown moment for the sake of a photo op. It was different from the usual empty the locker room brawl ending for RR go home show but ultimately didn't too much for me. I do wonder what the live audience got to see after Raw went off the air.

I think this Rumble match is gonna be lit tbh. I like how the winner isn't completely obvious this time around. I think 2012 was probably the last time it was like this (although Jericho was the guy to bet on, yet Sheamus won).

The Triumvirate of Old stands tall!
Eh, it's better than Roman standing tall.

I really enjoyed the last segment. I'm ok with anyone winning the rumble except STROMAN. For some reason I'm just not a fan of his.

Raw was decent tonight. Sami/Rollins was great and the stipulation to it made the match that much better.

umm....im no lawyer...but isn't that copyright infringement on the Cavs? wwe has come to terms with the merch booth WWE and tenants of the buildings they run come to agreements in order to sell specific merchandise. Picked this up at TD Garden at TLC '15.

It's either gonna be Undertaker or Strowman. Not a single doubt about it in my mind.

I still don't get what the reason was he wasn't a face when he returned. That is why I fear for fin when he makes his return. I could see a tag match being made him and Roman vs Anderson and Gallows. and when Roman is about to hit the spear Finn jumps in attacks him turning heel. Maybe then that will be the turing point were people finally learn. To not get their hopes up when it comes to WWE.
