in all seriousness, can someone tell me who this guy is I find it hard to believe that you 'seriously' don't know who Shinsuke Nakamura is if you're a Wrestling fan that collects Mattels in 2017. I would love to see how upset FB-only collectors would get if people said the same thing about one of their beloveds.

Every now and then I'll check this thread hoping to catch up on some discussion about this figure.
Then I check and remember the road this thread went down.

It's sickening how far this line has dropped off - I mean a guy appearing in WWE's developmental promotion is considered a defining moment? Wow.

If a toy being in a line is "sickening" to you, then it isn't for you. NXT hasn't been developmental for three years. It's their third brand, and has been for awhile. Nakamura isn't just "a guy" he's a legend just in Japan and should be treated as such. Him having a match the caliber Nakamura did on his debut, that was a defining moment. No one has a match as good as he did on their debut, it immediately brought eyes to him. Not anyone's fault you're stuck in the past.

I won't have to spend $30+ extra dollars buying handmade clothes to bump it's appearance from sub-par to fair/decent.

Interesting if they're really hitting retail. Didn't something similar happy with another big DM? That it hit retail before RSC even got theirs in? It's sickening how far this line has dropped off - I mean a guy appearing in WWE's developmental promotion is considered a defining moment? Wow. LOL, that's perfect

That's a hell of a good point. Nice gif mate! (On topic - I really hope I can get this figure soon - he's been a want of mine for ages) I've been itching to use it too.

People go there to get better or get accustomed to the WWE style before heading to Raw or SmackDown. Sounds like development to me. And the knock about buying a jacket to complete it - its elites come with accessories so I'm sure a normal Elite of his would of come with one or both.

I'm not sure if I'll bother getting this figure! On 1 hand it keeps my dm collection complete , but on the other hand for mattel to put this in the same category as the HHH , Shawn Michaels, Bret hart even the recent flair Dms is an insult to what should actually be considered a defining moment in wwe history!!! Roll on the macho man

Interesting if they're really hitting retail. Didn't something similar happy with another big DM? That it hit retail before RSC even got theirs in? LOL, that's perfect There have been only two DM's that ringside has got before retail. 1) Hogan and 2) the most recent flair. The trend I see is they overnight the "delivers before Christmas" figures, however they don't overnight the rest of the DM's throughout the year. That probably why they have DM's at normal retail price, rather than inflated like the regular line.

1) Putting this figure as a "DM" means we got Shinsuke Nakamura faster than if he was placed in the regular Elite line. If you have such a problem with paying FIVE DOLLARS more than wait a year and buy the Elite of him whenever it comes out. People on here act like the DM line is twice the price of Elites, but I'm willing to pay $5 more if it means the figure will be easier to find (see: recent Elites of Samoa Joe and AJ Styles)
2) Having a debut match with Sami Zayn at the level that Nakamura did is certainly a "defining moment". It was MOTY quality and others have not made quite the same impact. (I'm looking at you, Andrade "Cien" Almas)
3) This is up for pre-order on RSC for $25.99 and since I don't get out much these days I just pulled the trigger and pre-ordered it because at this point I could get it at the same time as it hit stores but at least I'm only paying $1 more and shipping. It's a damn good deal on RSC right now and it shall be my second WWE Mattel figure of 2017, which I also ordered my first from RSC and was Asuka, so there's that.
