To answer the question properly it should be asked how you define "best" if its in ring work or who entertained you etc then its a matter of opinion. If its by who ultimately you could take 1 person and turn a business into a world wide conglomerate there is only one answer....
Its Hulk Hogan with no questions asked. There will be arguments for Bruno, Austin, Hart, HBK and Cena but the fact remains that Hogan was a much bigger star then Bruno ever was and without Hogan the latter mentioned names would never have the chance to be as big. The closest argument that people can have is Austin because of the merchandise sales # he had in the 90s which were better then Hogans in the 80s. What people fail to realize other then the obvious inflation is that while Hogan was racking up # in the 80s he didnt just go away in the 90s. He was racking up #s in WCW in nWo & Hollywood merchandise while Austin was in WWF with his numbers. Hogan is ultimate the be all end all

Several thoughts...
This would most likely should have gone to the Classics Board. But we'll see how it goes.
I like Jericho, but he's not the greatest WWE champion of all time IMO.
If you vote for RVD or Jeff Hardy you should be forced to give up your WFigs account.
I'd love to vote for Triple H, Randy Savage, and Bret Hart. My top 3 favorite ever. But the answer is Steve Austin. He brought WWE back from the brink of destruction. Without him, we'd be talking about Judy Bagwell vs Hulk Hogan at Starrcade 2017. Don't laugh... it wasn't a joke.

Jericho, and if you don't choose him, YOU WILL MAKE THE LIST ! I chose Austin. One of the most popular wrestlers of all time and could also tell a great story in the ring. His world title runs were always memorable and exciting too.

Hogan and it's not even close.
Hogan made wrestling huge in the 80's.
Hogan made wrestling huge again in the 90's.
Austin and others benefited from Hulkamania.
I'm not even a fan of Hogan.

Unless you go by statistics/records/reigns/etc., this may mostly be an opinion. Some may say Hogan and not even be a fan of Hogan like Old Baby. Some may say someone like Jeff Hardy or Chris Jericho simply because that person is their favorite.

As he's my favourite, I'll go with Warrior.

Whenever I think of the WWF title I think of Austin.
So he gets the nod.

It's really a toss up between Hogan and Austin as they both changed wrestling in a HUGE way. Gotta go with Hogan for the same reasons Old Baby mentioned.

Does the World Wide Wrestling Federation time frame not count? Just wondering why Bruno and Backlund (at least) aren't on the list.

You had me agreeing with everything you said until Austin. I would like to say Backlund, but the answer is Hogan. Like Nivro said without Hogan none of the others would have been as wrestlings popularity probably wouldn't have come back so big in the 80's.

Austin, Hogan, Cena and Rock are the only really valid choices. That said, I'm going with Edge.

Pretty sure Hogan is the sensible option here

I picked Hogan, because the length of his reign and how he held the title during his runs. Steve Austin is a close second.
