It is engaging to say the least. Once I start on one guy I kinda nitpick the rest of my figs and how they look till like 45 mins has gone by lol. The right pose though can sometimes open up other posing options for the next figure due to shelf space and how they stand next to each other. Lots of Warriors reaching to the sky lol
I just recently posed an austin looking at his 'watch' like he always did in the rumble (when he cleared the ring). It looks AWESOME. Sometimes we did get screwed though cuz macho, cena, superfly even hogan etc would have looked better with some 'custom' hands. I gotta check if that marvel legends captain america's pointy finger hand will fit on macho...hmmm...

The loose ones I have are pretty expensive so I don't dink around with them too much and the rest are MOC but ya you should play with your toys if you're bored.

Absolutely, I'm 42 years old and my son is 9, I have given him most of my old collections and have started new ones for him, and I still have my own... I build diaromas in our huge basement and we play all the time , I love posing figures I have a full size pull table that has a scaled 6' shield heli carrier with 4 box fans that run for turbines and the bat cave and a small city /park diaroma .. it is relaxing my wife doesn't care and to be honest I collected way before we got married, been together for 20 and married for 18, and I'm not stopping anytime soon and I don't give a SH:!!! Who care if I play with toys and I have no problem letting everyone know..... so yes I think it is very relaxing it's like murder lol I can kill everyone and not get in trouble like games I can take all my frustrations out on a game a a wrestling match or avengers fighting and not cause any physical harm and not get in trouble so it's great " play on"

When new people see my collection they always ask if I play with them. I always answer of course, not like I would if I was a kid but I "fiddle" around with them posing them and stuff.

If it's a new figure I just bought sometimes I play around with posing it on my desk. I used to do it all the time with gijoe and Star Wars figures and yea it was kinda calming. It was kinda nice to see the figires come to life so to speak.

On occasion I've grabbed two figures and just played out a slow motion match on my bed or on my chest when I'm laying down. It's engaging for a few minutes. I've then tried to convert that into getting out the ring and playing actual matches and I can't get into it anymore. man same here. wish I could. miss doing rumbles and stuff but the feeling, its just not there. got a new nephew, he's only 1 but hopefully he'll start playin and get the blood flowin for me again. got a box of old beat jakks wrestlers ready to give him for play.

Posing, playing, displaying, or just staring endlessly, is my happy place.

I know exactly what you mean. I would be watching TV and not even look at the figure but just move it around. Mattel's joints don't wear out easily and glide smooth. I like the way the ab crunch moves the best.

Everything about figures is relaxing to me. Finding them, buying them, opening them, and posing them. When I sell my stuff on ebay I always think to myself, this guy (the figure) is leaving this "territory" and moving on to the next. And my mind wanders, I start thinking about the figure. Will it's new owner put a title belt on the figure? Or will he see the figure as a new jobber.

Sometimes I just like to sit and pose a figure to have something to fidget with. The most relaxing thing is laying on the couch and having a figure to move in my hands while I watch something. It is somehow satisfying. Doesn't have to be wrestling, I also enjoy baseball, football and superhero flicks. Anyone else do this? Yes I do. It is relaxing, and also, get a handful of them (no matter what line they belong to) and make some scenarios. I find very fun to have my ASR displayed with Marvel Legends Juggernaut and Mark Henry fighting over the WWE Title.

I used to have a set up for a Rumble posing. and would change the fig poses/moves often, but my friends would always sneak over there and change a bunch into stupid sexual poses and stuff. some made me LOL when I noticed them.

I've been writing my figure fed in stupid detail for about 2 years (still in the writing phase -- haven't reached the play phase yet lol). I sit around on the couch and just pose my new figures with a belt or against a rival I've written up for them just to get ideas going for promos and spots in matches. It's pretty funny as it gets me to think like a booker and a wrestler at the same time. I actually want a fully structured match for every match I play, written up to a year in advance in my "universe" time. It's a giant task, but evernote helps.
Trying to figure out a match I've never seen in real life as a reference is like a fun puzzle to do. The posing I do is more like trying to get my fingers used to the articulation and doing moves like suplexes and submissions. I've set my ASR up a few times, but rarely have actual matches yet because it pains me to just have no clue what to do with my hands haha. I get alot of great ideas just from posing.
It makes me look like a 30 year old kid but hey, it's relaxing to just let my brain go somewhere else when I'm stressed.

Occasionally I do this, but my thing is more at work than anything. I generally grab some figs heading out the door and throw them in my bag. Then I pose them on my desk when I get to work. They come in handy for frustrating parts of my day where I'll just goof around with them and then get back to work. Almost like a stress reliever of sorts.

My friends did that back in High School when I collected DBZ figures. The first time I got mad but then it just got funny.

The process of planning and setting things up in my head or a spreadsheet is usually a lot more fun than actually playing, whether it's with figures, video game feds or whatever. I have really tried to get into playing matches with my figures, and it's just so damn tedious. The part of using the imagination is the fun part.

I have really tried to get into playing matches with my figures, and it's just so damn tedious. The part of using the imagination is the fun part. This might be odd, but I think it's kind of funny. So I started getting back into collecting again last Summer. I knew I enjoyed buying them but at the time I was going to keep them all MOC. That quickly went by the wayside as I realized that I would need way more space than I have for it so I started opening them. Then I started doing an Instagram account with pics of my collection. Then after opening them I remember sitting around one day thinking "what am I actually going to do with these?" I literally ordered the scale ring and sat down to put it together, then I grabbed a couple of figs just to see how they looked in the ring. I was goofing around for like 10 minutes when I realized that I was never going to play with my figures. I used to play with wrestling figures for HOURS as a kid and I used to really love it. But apparently as an adult my imagination is fairly shot. I thought about how it wasn't really fun to play with them like I used to and then I found posing and photographing figures to be a lot of fun. So that's basically how I "play" with them. But man do I have a blast filling up a notebook with booking notes, rosters, etc. I'm such a wrestling nerd at the end of the day and as an adult I guess that's where my imagination still exists. But put figures in my hand and sit me in front of a ring and I'm bored within 2 minutes.
