Yeah See Bret Hart v Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania. At least Goldberg looks the part and can do a few moves lol. I burnt that from my memory!

Those acting like Shane vs. AJ isn't high profile are giving me giggles. So what it's not a WWE title match? He's facing Shane McMahon. He's been in two matches recently and both were marquee matches. If Styles is actually facing McMahon, then they're confident in Styles as a big star. its not because it's Shane....it's the reason behind it. Shane is the "babyface" Boss. AJ is the heel. But Shane is screwing AJ out of title shots, so AJ wants to wrestle him at Wrestlemania? What the kind of sense does that even make??? Forget about the fact that AJ has spent over a year becoming one of the best guys in the entire company. He lost the title on a transition just to give Cena a record, and now gets shoved completely out of the title picture in favor of....shocker....Randy Orton. The storytelling of AJ vs. Shane is abysmal. It's lazy, it's not even interesting, and it makes it seem like they are literally just throwing it together in the last week because they have NOTHING else for AJ to do....even though he spent amost a ing YEAR at the top of the company Yeah, because the babyface boss screwing a guy who runs his mouth and is cocky about everything is so out of the ordinary.. If AJ was quiet, didn't run his mouth and talk about how good he is all the time like an ass, it wouldn't make sense but the way his attitude is makes it justifiable in the storyline

The ending of the Roman/Braun match was absolutely dreadful psychology wise.
Why would Braun take such a risk without first hitting the power slam in the ring? I know he power slammed him through the table, but not in the ring. If you hit it and he kicks out, going for broke would work, but he hasn't hit it yet so no reason to take such an unnecessary risk. Dumb all round.

I'm just gonna throw this out there: AJ vs Nakamura at WM. Seriously. They already have all the casual fan attractions in Lesnar/Goldberg, Undertaker, Cena, ?Big Show/Shaq?, etc. Give the hardcore fans a bone by calling up Nakamura and put these two in a match. Play on their NJPW history since WWE actually acknowledges NJPW's existence (unlike TNA).

guy "wrestles" for 22 seconds and gets gassed? yea killer shape. Yeah. There's a difference between being in shape and being in ring shape. You can be a jacked up physical specimen and still have crappy cardio. It's what WWE does now with all the part-timers. The same reason they've been dragging Undertaker out for WM the last few years even though he's clearly not able to do what he used to do. Nothing, but respect for the man, but it's sad I think everyone had to see this result coming though it was pretty obvious.

Jeeeeeze one of the worst pay per views in recent memory. Aside from the cruiserweight match, everything else was pure disaster.
Roman beating Strowman CLEAN in a matter of 12 minutes or so was trash. You build up Strowman with the best momentum out of everyone just to feed him to Roman? Nice one Vince.
Don't even get me started on the main event. Holy f*ck. I don't even know why I had the smallest shred of hope that Goldberg wouldn't win. God that was bad, soooooooo bad.

Love Goldberg, but I just can't get excited about this. The only upside is that it hopefully can bring some value to the Universal Title. My hope is that if Lesnar wins the match, then he loses the title the next night on Raw to someone like Finn or Shinsuke. Wishful thinking but I don't think anyone is interested in Lesnar winning and then disappearing with the belt until Summerslam season.
It's just hard to believe WWE has basically opted to fill the Wrestlemania card with matches that have little to no appeal. The only one I was looking forward to was Rollins/HHH and who knows what's gonna happen with that. If it's something where it's just a confrontation and not a match, would be such a buzzkill. If Rollins can't go then he can't go. Would just be disappointing

Because Smackdown may have some bad booking at times but they at least try to polish it and make it seem like "Eh, it could be worse" Where when you see most of Raws booking you go "It can't get any worse than this.." Who said Orton is beating Wyatt at Mania? Cena put him over twice.. Orton may put him over at Mania to fully solidify Wyatt as a proper champion and then win it at the next PPV. So what AJ is in a match with Shane? There aren't many other options and the match is gonna be a lot higher on the card than anything else he could have been in it. I'll bet a few bucks that Shane vs. AJ goes on after Wyatt vs. Orton Those acting like Shane vs. AJ isn't high profile are giving me giggles. So what it's not a WWE title match? He's facing Shane McMahon. He's been in two matches recently and both were marquee matches. If Styles is actually facing McMahon, then they're confident in Styles as a big star. It's less about the match itself and more about the fact that the catalyst to its creation doesn't really make any sense, given that AJ is a heel but was clearly wronged by a babyface authority figure. It's also because, by and large, Wrestlemania is going to be filled with some really bad wrestling as it stands, and people were counting on AJ, arguably the best wrestler in the world, to provide the one big, epic match that could define the show, main event or not. As good as he is, he can't really do that against a glorified backyard wrestler who specializes in falling off of tall structures. This is undoubtedly a huge vote of confidence in AJ, but it doesn't mean that it's a good decision.

The PPV was okay, glad that its over, the story telling leading up to Mania can begin and hopefully get us all a little more invested in the show.

They could have at least had Nash come out and stick the winner.

I feel like Reigns beat Strowman so he can lose to Taker.

I feel like Reigns beat Strowman so he can lose to Taker. Well, that's the second best scenario in the Reigns/Taker match, at least.

Remember how badly Goldberg vs Lesnar was booed 13 years ago? I wonder if we will see that again.
This show was painful, and I only watched the last hour!
(So far I have watched all 4 SmackDown PPVs since the brand split, but only 1.33 of the RAW PPVs. RAW is like Nitro when it sucked.)

Since the brand split, I've given seven Smackdown PPV matches at least ****. (Ziggler/Miz twice, Dean/AJ twice, AJ/Dean/Cena, AJ/Cena and the Elimination Chamber)
Raw has none.

Pros - At least Jericho distracted Owens so it wasn't a flat out squash. Cons - Goldberg as champion in 2017, Owens not being champion, Goldberg as champion in 2017, Goldberg/Brock III for the title, and Goldberg as champion in 2017. I don't see how more people don't see that as a good thing. I mean, the general consensus is that he had a very bad reign as champion. I blame the booking more than Owens himself. Though he had some stinkers (vs. Seth at Clash and vs. Roman at Roadblock), he rebounded to have better PPV matches with both men. Plus, I'll take a poorly booked Owens over Goldberg as champion any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Strowman losing like that sucked. Taker should have cost Reigns the match. Taker wouldn't even had to have been there , just as Roman was going for the pin the lights and gong should have happened,
Brock should have cost Goldberg the match. Their match doesn't need the belt. Just makes it so lesnar is going to win or Goldberg drops it or gives it the next night.
Jericho should have came out with a cattle prod.
Gallagher is one tough dude, I think that guys brain is jelly tonight his head bounced off the Matt and ropes all match long.

Just nonstop complaining in this thread. Why do some of you guys even watch if you don't like it? We pay for it and expect it (for some reason) to get better. And we have a right to complain, the product of today is more or less lacking. Anyways, Here's my top 2 matches of the night 1. Neville/gallagher 2. charlotte/bayley (crappy ending though) Rest was meh.
