To break this flood of Hasbro posts:
did anyone here win one or more of the Popy figures that sold last week on Ebay?

They were loose and went for normal prices, well Abdullah the Butcher went for too much and Antonio Inoki too cheap.

Those figures blow my mind, I didn't know they existed until recently and I don't know what it is about them, I think they have this very Astor Boy-Kinnikuman cartoony, bulky, triangle torso awesomeness to them that so fits their time frame that I feel I'll succumb to them before long.
So, question, do they have a ring?

So, question, do they have a ring? No, they don't have a ring. The bodies were the same style as the 1980 Popy line called "Tiger Mask II World" (about the anime, at that time there was no Tiger Mask II in a wrestling ring). Those Tiger Mask figures also came in a 2-pack with a small ring, but that ring was actually a launcher and not to be used as a wrestling ring.

They are quite the pricey thing to come across, I saw one Inoki on card on the Japan yahoo auctions the other day for around $300 Canadian but I haven't seen a full lot for sale. How much do each figure normally run for in you folks experience if you don't mind sharing?

How much do each figure normally run for in you folks experience if you don't mind sharing? I own a loose set. It took me from March 2004 until November 2010 to complete my full set. In 1981 Popy released ten 5.5" figures in the 'Super Professional Wrestling'-series, licensed by booker Don O'Neill. The figures move at the arms and waist. My complete set with what I paid for each figure at the time (mostly converted from japanese yen to US $): In March 2004 I won my first Popy: Hulk Hogan (I paid: $176.08 - including fees & s&h) In September 2004 I was able to add another two: Abdullah The Butcher & Andre The Giant (for Andre I paid: $88 - without s&h) October 2005 I could finally add another Popy: Stan Hansen (I paid: $163.19 - without s&h) Number five would be for July 2007: Mil Mascaras Thanks to Stomwijf (our previous mod) I could add in December 2007: Antonio Inoki In December 2008: Harley Race Won this one in February 2009: Terry Funk December 2009: Bob Backlund (I paid: $135.75 - including fees & s&h (12,120 yen)) November 2010 finally my Popy set is completed: Dory Funk, Jr.

You ever think about getting like some of the Tiger Mask figures or if that Tiger Mask full sized ring would work with these?

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Must have taken a lot of patience and persistence to finally find them all at reasonable prices.

Maybe Tiger Mask, even tho' he's from the anime. The ring you mean is the Medicom ring made for the Nakajima figures, might work; those were 6".
