So I have been on the fence with this for a while. I have basic figures of the Legends that I like, like Hogan, Savage, Bret, HBK and a few others, and I noticed how the basics just fail to comparison when you put them up against elites.
I noticed how tattoos don't get coloured, or little details go unnoticed like Bret's 4 hearts on his tights on the Wrestlemania BP with Austin.
So does anyone on here JUST collect Elites and pass on all basics??

I tried to, but many attires for wrestlers I wanted only came out as a Basic.

i buy at least one of every character, badic or elite. both look awesome displayed.

I only buy Elites for awhile now. But when I first started collecting Mattel's WWE figures back in 2010-2011, I bought a few basics here and there. Shortly after that, I realized not only do they not measure up to Elites in terms of quality, but even in terms of money, it'd be way more worth it to put the money I spent on basics to spend on Elites instead. So, that's what I've done for the past 5-6 years now. I've bought an HBK basic or 2 here or there, but that's literally it. And I don't even display the few basics I have (including the HBK basics) in my Detolfs. I'd rather just display my Elites.

When i first started collecting i bought basics of current superstars if they didnt have an elite, since then iv sold all my current day figs (elites and basics) now i only buy elites of superstars from 1988-2000

Too many good attires to pass on basics.
Entrance greats figures, SS,RR, and WM heritage figures, Divas, etc.

I try to stick with Elites only, except when they don't have one mostly the women in that case.

I've been strictly elite flashbacks since day one. The only basic I've ever bought was sid so I could do an elite headswap.
I don't see myself ever loving a basic figure ever

I only collect Elites! They come with their own cool attires and great accessories.
For the most part for me it's the luxury of posing them in different styles.

I play with all figures not just elite. Usually if I'm on the fence about getting an elite I think if their finisher will require more articulation

I only collect Elites. Only two reasons I ever buy basics is for arm/head swaps and Divas because they're the same damn thing as Elites.
I usually take all my basics that I used for arm/head swaps and put them in my crowd section of my arena lol

I do mainly elite. If there's somebody that I don't think will get an elite, a women or an attire I really want that they probably won't make as an elite I'll buy a basic but I don't get a whole lot of them.
