Yall get upset over everything. I don't think so on this one bud. That coat is garbage, looks NOTHING like coat the attire goes with and for all the 'boohoo cloth costs us SOOOOO much money' I'd have just assumed rather not have it and had the money go elsewhere. That coat is PURE crapE, period. But to be upset by the attire? Im sure the majority thought it would be plain pink or white tights and limited deco. Figure looks awesome and i never even liked the over glorified jobber.

Figure is good, attire choice is fine (I personally like the zebra print) but I think the jacket just lacks the coloring of what it is based on. Still going to buy it and maybe Ill try and fix up the jacket.

I can see how some may not but these days, I don't expect 100% accuracy anymore from toy companies that sell $20 figures. Heck, even hot toys have qc issues with deteriorating rubber and leather.

I like it. I hope the sides r pink like the hasbros. Love the headscan. As for the coat, have no issues with it as cloth jackets are always like that apart from the first dm macho.

When I think of Beefcake I don't picture any one particular color because he had several different looks and color schemes and don't think any are more iconic than the other. This attire is just fine and just needs a bow tie and hedge clippers to be complete.

I agree with the OP. When I think of Beefcake, I think of colorful attires. I'm never a fan when white or black (non-colors) are used over something more flashy or that pops on the shelf. Beefcake came from the golden age of wrestling that had some of the most colorful and flashy gimmicks. I also don't know why so many think the zebra design is tied to white. Beefcake sported the zebra in several colors before he wore white. In this case, I think some are remembering Beefcake's 2nd Hasbro figure. I thought the figure itself was better than the first in terms of sculpt and detail, but I always preferred the color scheme of the first release. I also think pink is more iconic when Beefcake established the character in 1987 and 1988.
Will I still buy the elite 49 Beefcake? Yes Am I also worried about his torso and height? Yes Do I hope that Mattel makes another Beefcake down the road? Yes, preferably with Valentine

The first hasbro is his most classic look. I think he'll be fine without that bullcrap coat on, and hopefully we get a dream team brutus. I guess I'm eating my words this year cuz I was CERTAIN he was HOF bound? That just confuses the piss out of me...

I'm OK with the attire. Beefcake was one of the first WWF guys who seemed to switch up his ring attire on a near-constant basis, so I don't really think any particular color defines his look. The hallmarks of Beefcake's look, to me, weren't specific colors. They were exposed fishnet on the trunks, elaborate entrance jackets, and the long gloves.
But as a first time in the line, I'm fine with the tiger stripe gear. It was a staple in his ensembles for most of his run with the Dream Team and well into his single runs, though the base colors varied from white to blue to yellow. Again, the Beefer never really settled on a specific color.
Now, the entrance jacket, on the other hand, is another example of why I'm hesitant to default to a "soft goods only" approach when it comes to Mattel Elite accessories. It looks homemade from the lone pic we've got.

Any Hasbro fan has to love the tiger stripes over a pink/purple Beefcake. Remember how much the purple one warmed shelves, while the striped one is one of the rarest Hasbros out there? Yeah, I'm cool with the attire (and love the constant complaining)!

Yeah, I'm cool with the attire (and love the constant complaining)! The pink one will always hold a special place in my heart, though, since it provided my mom with one of her more repeated stories about me. I got into wrestling right as the first series of figures hit the shelves, so I only really knew about Hulk Hogan. So while we were looking at the pegs, she sounded off the names of the figures available. One of them was "Brutus The Barber Beefcake." Of course, being only five or six and not yet having the intense memory for useless things that I do now, I botch-a-mania'ed his name when I told her that was the one I wanted. And thus, Brutus Beefcake forever became known to my mom as "Barber Cake." I still have the exact one I bought that day stashed away somewhere.

It's a weird attire choice. I hope he comes with hedge trimmers that will really cut tiny hedges.

Yall get upset over everything. Lol true. I'm not a Beefcake fan, but I think it looks fine. Vibrant colors and a cloth shirt... you couldn't ask for more.

Yeah, I'm cool with the attire (and love the constant complaining)! Yeah, like people passed on the Beefcake in 1990 and waited for the one with white zebra tights to come out two years later? C'mon. If the series 3 Beefcake is rarer, it's only because less were produced.

Just saying as a diehard Hasbro guy I grew to dislike the purple one more and more as a kid while the zebra tights one became more and more of a want over the years. I didn't finally get it until a couple years ago, lol, and I'm in my 30s. So I'm happy for the zebra tights, maybe it's a subliminal thing lol.

It's not a bad looking figure, but I'm probably going to pass on it. Don't want to end up getting it, not wanting it sometime later, then possibly not be able to sell it off.

I love it !
Glad it wasn't just 'pink' and that they kinda remade Hasbro 2 colors 🤘
Thank you for Warlord & Brutus Beefcake ! 2 big top 10's scratched off my list .... now if we could get something going on Repo Man 👊😎

Just sayin' So if white isn't a color then why can you still see it? 🤔 Everything we see emits a color... so it is a color sort of lol. But I see your reasoning. I was referring more to the yellow bands because the white isn't vibrant at all.
