I loved the zebra tights. Hell, Mattel should include an alternate zebra facepainted head so we can also have Zodiac Man.

It's so odd to me that people think this line was made specifically to their individual wants and needs.

If this line was not created specifically for the wants of fans, then what other reason is there? Some people prefer the white zebra tights, great! There are others that would have preferred something else. If people are not allowed to voice their constructive wants, views and opinions, then this forum doesn't serve much purpose.

as a fan of awl Bruti? I'm happy with the attire Choice. works great for both singles or is you wanted him for The Dream Team.
I think this may have been Mattels goal. Personally? I would have loved either of his Hasbro figs update dbut I'm cool with this too.
They need to sort their sh*t out with Hogan so I can get a BP of the Mega Maniacs godammit!!!

Of course it was made for fans, but not everyone is going to get the exact attire they want.

Not a fan of the attire. The scan looks like Richard Simmons imo. Sweating to the oldies style. I'll still buy it.

I agree with the OP. When I think of Beefcake, I think of colorful attires. I'm never a fan when white or black (non-colors) are used over something more flashy or that pops on the shelf. Beefcake came from the golden age of wrestling that had some of the most colorful and flashy gimmicks. I also don't know why so many think the zebra design is tied to white. Beefcake sported the zebra in several colors before he wore white. In this case, I think some are remembering Beefcake's 2nd Hasbro figure. I thought the figure itself was better than the first in terms of sculpt and detail, but I always preferred the color scheme of the first release. I also think pink is more iconic when Beefcake established the character in 1987 and 1988. Will I still buy the elite 49 Beefcake? Yes Am I also worried about his torso and height? Yes Do I hope that Mattel makes another Beefcake down the road? Yes, preferably with Valentine This. You get what my point was. For all the other people like Gorilla and legendsguy and others that want to be confrontational towards me because I posted my opinion, grow up. What's the point of belonging to a wrestling figure forums site if I can't share or post an opinion about a figure without being told to "stop complaining" or "boo hoo" or any other of that hateful, negative crap. Some people are clearly incapable of disagreeing with an opinion in a civilized, mature manner, spoiling the conversation for others. I never claimed to speak for everyone and anyone that read my post and wants to accuse me of that doesn't understand hyperbole or is just trying to create confrontation. My post sparked over 5 pages of replies so anyone that doesn't think my opinion post was warranted or was stupid or unnecessary has already been proven wrong by the number of replies. To those of you that disagreed with me in a respectful manner, I appreciate it. To those lurking on here that just want to attack or be hateful to someone who is just trying to actively engage the community (the whole freaking point of a forum), I have no words for you. Well, maybe just 2...

I didn't read all of the comments, so I don't know if this was already addressed, but:
One of the OP's complaints was the lack of holes in the tights, but I'm pretty sure it has them. it's hard to be completely sure as the sides of legs are covered, but the render had them, as did the gear it's based on. I thin once we see the whole thing it will be ripped though.
I'm not a fan of the jacket, but the rest of the figure seems good from what we can see. Also, it's clearly not complete as it's also missing the sheers and bow tie. I look forward to seeing it all come together.

As long as he comes with his shears and his bowtie everything's easy peasy.

If it has "holes" in the white zebra tights, I will admittedly feel better about the figure. Still wouldn't have been my choice for the color/attire, but any Beefcake figure MUST have those sheer holes.

One of the Gorilla Monsoon lines that has remained stuck in my brain for 25 years is his apt description of Brutus' ring tights. "It looks like a hand grenade went off in his pocket."
