I like the ring myself minus the turn buckles. I hate that people are being Jerks about the Goldberg figure. He is a figure most people want to complete rosters. Not to mention this run in WWE he has been more authentic and feels way less scripted and robotic. He finally does more than talk. Yes his matches are short and skills are on scale with Cena' but he's never been a long match guy. I think the ring is decent for what ithey includes and Goldberg is a good figure.

I have mixed feelings on this. I like that it looks maybe to better scale than the WCT rings (which are too large). Also like the commentator accessories and the LED components. I would definitely be more excited about buying this if a few things were fixed though. I don't like that it has the turnbuckles built into the posts just like the basic rings and with no WWE logo on them. Also - do the ropes look too low to anyone else compared to the height of the Goldberg figure? And in general, this looks much less interchangeable than the WCT ring, where you can change up ring skirts and turnbuckles. Makes me wonder how pricey this will be as well.

The shortness off the ropes is my main issues. Hopefully its the angle or something.

I'm no fan of John Cena's character, but he's a tremendous wrestler. MITB '11, the US title open challenge, the matches with Styles, all excellent. Goldberg is NOT on a par with Cena by any stretch of the imagination.

So this ring isn't really that much smaller..wtf is the point then? A literal cash grab.. It's 2"x2" shorter. Tgat's nothing to sneeze at. The height is also in scale to the ringside accessories Mattel made. The ring barricades and entrance stages will fit this ring better than the ASR. That's something. Anyway, it's not for everyone, but it's good for people who want a bigger ring and don't have the ASR. The ASR isn't even made by Mattel. Mattel made the original ESR which has been out of production for 4 or 5 years. Not exactly a cash grab on Mattel's part. Forgot that honestly. It makes a little better since this is technically the first big ring from then since then

It appears to be the same height as the basic ring. It probably isn't interchangeable at all. Because it's got electronics inside, the base is probably all one piece (posts included). The mat seems fabric and looks like it's held in place by the LED boards? I imagine there will be no customization. Maybe if this sells well they'll make a Smackdown version. To me tgis seems kinda like a nicer version of that Toybiz WCW talking ring. Or maybe like those Jakks BCA rings (which were honestly much better than the basic rings are in terms of scale to figures).

The ring is aesthetically pleasing, but it's just a bigger basic ring at the end of the day. I hate that the turnbuckles are molded onto the post and it really takes away from the realism of a ring.
I'm sure they'll release another modern day Goldberg elite as well, so I might pass on this ring.

Awesome. Oldberg joins Michael Elgin as exclusive figures I want really bad but will never own. Because there's no way in hell i'm dropping what an Authentic Scale Ring costs just for a loose figure (as a MOC collector).
I expect that kind of stuff from a little company like FTC. But Mattel? C'mon now!

The "PG era" isn't a real thing, WWE hasn't been truly "PG" in content for years. This is a cringe worthy buzzword people need to stop using 93-96 "New Generation" 96-01 "Attitude" 02-08 "Ruthless Aggression" 09-15 "PG Era" 16- "New Era" Yes, the PG era was real. Is it a weird way to describe it? Sure, but then what would you call that particular era? I thought we was in the Reality Era. What's the New Era?

It feels like wwe lost its balls to make edgy content and focuses on old timers to keep the show going.

As I am someone with out an ASR ring this does have some appeal to it. Depending on the price point and where it is stocked I might have to pick this up. If they stock this at TRU maybe I can get lucky and grab it when/if it goes on sale

This is my first time seeing the phrase "Reality Era" but then again, the only wrestling news I get is from Meltzer.
