Perhaps it's down to the fact that I only got back into wrestling after a 2/3 year absence in October and so haven't witnessed the evolution of Strowman in the way everyone else has, and perhaps I'm missing out by only watching the weekly "This Week in WWE" and the PPVs on the WWE Network, but to me Braun Strowman just seems like an incredibly bland monster heel. He just doesn't seem to have any character to him at all. Even monster heels need character to be interesting. Andre spoke for himself fairly regularly, and his whole thing was being a French giant and he was just really unique. Big Show has "the World's Largest Athlete" thing. Mark Henry has "the World's Strongest Man" thing. What does Strowman have? Generic monster heel #32 with a beard.

Him and Corbin are becoming some of the best things on their respective brands. I'm a huge fan of both. They've gotten some of the best development of anyone in recent memory. I'm genuinely a little disappointed Corbin's elimination of Strowman never led to an angle. A WrestleMania match is something I could actually have got behind and although it would have been low on the card I reckon it would have done wonders for both guys.

I bought into him when he was drafted to raw out of the Wyatt family, through all the slow burn squash matches, the match with Big Show could have been a PPV match, I wasnt expecting it to be much to write home about, and it was a big risk to have them main event but it was a great match, some good spots, the kip up, kicking out of eachothers finish.
I'm hoping theres a screwy finish to his match at Fastlane. Maybe Undertaker will show up and cause Roman a loss, cementing their match a mania.

I like his in-ring work. I really enjoyed his match with Show. I do wish he had more of a gimmick though. We've seen every incarnation of monster heel at this point that nothing he does as a character feels interesting to me. If you could transplant Corbin's personality into Braun's body, you'd have the perfect big man wrestler imo.
I think if you let Reigns beat him at Fastlane you lose everything you've built with him though. So I hope they figure out a middle ground ending where Braun doesn't lose anything in terms of momentum. If this was 1990, Braun would be facing Hulk Hogan for the title in the Main Event of Mania. I'm curious to see where he lands at Mania because he kind of feels like the odd man out right now.

Braun is my favourite wrestler right now on Raw.
He moved with such agility against Big Show, and to be honest, Big Show looked really good too. The fact that Braun and Show were chain wrestling at their sizes was incredible!
And seriously, how strong is Braun?!?! He better destroy Roman Reigns when they meet at the PPV.

Hopefully they don't just have Roman Reigns beat him clean to make Roman look strong enough to go against Undertaker.
They need to have Undertaker cost Roman Reigns the match against Braun. If Braun Strowman loses, all the build up will have been for nothing.

He definitely grew on me a while ago. Strowman is definitely a guy WWE is booking right for the most part.
I will say that I had no interest in this match with Big Show match going into RAW. Wasn't against it, but assumed it would be a glorified squash like Mark Henry. Just logical and to the point.
Big Show impressed the hell out of me. I don't think I've seen a performance like that from him since maybe his feud with Sheamus during his World title run. Dude is in fantastic shape. I'm really happy for him too since most people with his condition would likely go downhill at his age.
Strowman continues to be surprising as all hell with his athleticism and strength. Even his cardio is great for a guy his size. And considering how green he is, you know he is busting his ass and working hard.

I like him a lot. I wish he did a powerbomb as a finisher though. The power slam reminds me of Davey Boy, especially when he was a face.

Yeah, i've been playing catch up too, I dont see anything interesting about the guy yet. I love me some godzilla level wrestling matches though lol

I watch wrestling pretty infrequently these days, so I didn't get the chance to really pay attention to him until he faced the mile high trio or whatever.
Been a huge fan since then.

Strowman has definitely improved a lot since his debut with the Wyatt family. Breaking him apart from the Wyatts (who've been stuck in limbo for most of their time on the main roster) was probably the best career move they could've done for him. I think his match with Big Show did a lot to establish that Strowman is not only big and strong, but also agile, an ability that puts him roughly in the Brock Lesnar style. I don't think he's quite ready for the main event yet and I am always dubious of WWE Creative's ability to not kill momentum of a rising star (a list that's far too long for a single post).

If Braun Strowman loses, all the build up will have been for nothing. I can machka to this. They need to have Strowman lose 3 straight PPVs cleanly to Roman in order to establish Strowman as a monster heel. That worked for Rusev and Cena, right? Oh, wait...
