For the love of God PLEASE bring back the 2 man announce team. word Find two people who can gab and play off each other, that's it. It doesn't have to be anyone famous, just people who can entertain. I'd be happy having 2 random people's grandmas be the commentators, comedy gold lol Right now I'm okay with Graves, he's silly. Couldn't stop laughing during that most glorious NXT Takeover match. |

Exactly. For the life of me I don't get why they need 3 and 4 guys in the booth.
I remember being ticked off when they added Rob Bartlett to Monsoon/Heenan in 93 and Jonathan Coachman to JR/King in 05. Completely unnecessary and just wrong on many levels.

If Lawler was on the list I'd choose him but it's still JBL for me and David Otunga is only on commentary so he don't have to wrestle but honestly I don't even know why he's still in WWE
So yeah Lawler and JBL make me wish I was deaf

Mauro cuz I hate his "Mama Mia" catchphrase he does, it's stupid. lol you're right that catchphrase is stupid. Bah gawd its got to be Michael Cole. Merely a backstage announcer at best. Graves is the best from the bunch, but the group still lacks from previous announcers. |

Otunga is clearly the worst at what he does. That's not to give Watson a pass either (he was my other poll selection), but I tend to forget he's there while watching NXT. Unfortunately, I can't get away from Otunga and JBL together on SmackDown Live and so I feel for Mauro Ranallo.
If I had a third choice, I would give it to Tom Phillips - not because I think he's bad at his job, because I do enjoy him on NXT with Graves, but I loathe the concept of a FOUR-man team on SDL. Ugh.
My favorite team at the moment is 205 Live with Graves/Ranallo/Aries. They give great insight into the matches and I love when both Graves and Aries gang up on Ranallo. It will be a sad day when Aries decides to return to the ring because he has been so good in his role on commentary.

I voted for that complete non-entity, Otunga, obviously. I mean, where's he been these past few years? Who's the bright spark who thought it would be a good idea to put him on commentary? Graves is alright, but as has been mentioned, his "bullying" of Saxton is getting old - as are his constant putdowns of Enzo. If you've watched 'Superstar ink' you'll know they associate off-screen. I couldn't agree more though, with the person who said he's a Punk knockoff. I've thought this since the first day I saw him. Also, Percy Watson... Why?

I would tolerate a Mauro/Aries 2 man team as Aries is pretty good in the heel role but for reasons I'll never understand WWE is hell bent on these 3 and 4 man teams.
Seriously what is the purpose of Tom Phillips on Smackdown if he just sits there the whole match and saids nothing? Better yet why do we need 2 guys on color when one on play by play and color is more than enough?
Bottom line the announcing in WWE is HORRENDOUS and I don't see ever getting better until they go back to the 2 man booth.

I've never liked hearing JBL speak. He mispronounces phrases and garbles his words far too often.
