New trailer for Alien covenant in the link above.What are people's thoughts? Personally I'm not a massive fan of the overuse of cgi for the new xenomorph creature but it definitely feels like a step in the right direction from Prometheus. At the most I think I'll enjoy it as an entertaining sci-fi horror but I'm not going to be going in expecting a masterpiece like the original Alien.

I never cared for the Alien or Predator series.
That being said, I think the CGI here looks pretty damn good, which is impressive given how hit or miss CGI can be.
I imagine this is how they always wanted the aliens to look, but never had the technology before to do it.

Excellent. I'm very eager to see this.....
Ridley has promised answers that Prometheus failed to deliver. These 2 trailers have given me confidence that he will indeed deliver.

From the rumors floating around it's number two out of a trilogy that will eventually lead to the original Alien so it may not answer everything. I'm definitely feeling the slightly aged and batterd ship along with the strong horror elements. One of my biggest gripes with Prometheus was how pretty it all looked almost like an apple commercial I felt it took away from the atmosphere somewhat.

I've heard that too but I don't want to be waiting 5 years for the next part.....but there are many reckon that wont be the case. I thought it was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Cast and storyline were excellent. Storyline concerning David was predictable and made moreso from the trailers but yeah I enjoyed it a lot.

Man I would have loved to have seen the cartoon those toys were based on. I still display and am quite fond of my Kenner Colonial Marine stuff. |

so ing excited. I dug it a lot. my only complaint was the pacing in act 3. As well as SPOILERS: the neomorphs not getting a ton of screen time! I was REALLY excited to see them.. but alas, not much |
