Smackdown was held in St. Paul at an arena that can hold 20,000. I've been to Raws in Green Bay, the Resch Center holds 9,000 tops however i read this from the observer "Smackdown is more and more outdrawing Raw, as they had 10,000 fans here, way more than Smackdown usually does in a market that size. They’ve also been beating Raw domestically all year at the house shows." so i guess this is good new for SD! mabye because they have cena, orton and AJ?

My initial thought is that it relates directly to Cena, but he doesn't work every show. It would be interesting to see the percentage Smackdown is up over Raw when John Cena is not advertised/not featured.
With that being said, it's still telling. Raw often has Goldberg or Brock Lesnar, sometimes both.

House shows have historically shown the trend before it's apparent in every other area, so like WWE doing better for live events leading up to WM14. So this is additional proof that Smackdown is putting on more compelling and entertaining shows that people are willing to pay money to go see. I would guess that is the show that appeals more to their primary demographic, so not the fictional audience that Vince tries to pander to every Mania season.
In other words, I'm not surprised by this at all. I went to a Smackdown house show in December last year and it was absolutely fantastic. Complete with Miz vs Ziggler in a cage and Ambrose vs Cena vs AJ for the title. I have nothing but good things to say about Smackdown since the split.

Good. Smackdown is the much better show. The fans realize this. If it wasn't for Braun Strowman, and probably that the Undertaker might be on ONCE before WrestleMania, I wouldn't even watch RAW anymore.

Raw has no main event guys really. And the main event guys they have are part timers like Lesnar and Goldberg.
Reigns, Owens, Jericho and Rollins are the only real active main event guys on the Raw brand, and two of them are injured right now. One legit, one kayfabe.
Big Show just returned, and Braun is just getting built into something.
Where as on Smackdown you have Cena, Orton, Wyatt, Styles, Ambrose, Miz, Kane, Corbin, Ziggler and Harper all being elevated or are already there at that top spot. Smackdown is just a stacked show compared to Raw.

When I went to Roadblock back in December a lot of sections on the camera side were tarped over, and that was a PPV. Not surprised at all Raw's have the same trend.

Not surprising. RAW is 3 hours of garbage. Watch the first hour of RAW and you're set for the week. SD is a lot better. but not always good. this weeks was pretty bad.

If it continues for too long Vince will raid the SD roster to fix it.

I predict that the RAW one is taken from where the tv camera is but damn it's still small They're taken from the same angle - center opposite hard camera. The Smackdown shot just appears to be from the middle/upper tier instead of the loge level.

SD I think is only slightly better creatively. But it flows better and IS a better show because it isnt filled with garbage of network plugs, recaps of the same thing 3 times, nonsense Foley segments, social media hype, etc. If that was eliminated then RAW would flow better.

It would be interesting to see the percentage Smackdown is up over Raw when John Cena is not advertised/not featured. Meltzer wrote about it last week. Since Cena came back, SmackDown has outdrawn Raw on the road for the first or second time ever. Box office wasn't great during the Ambrose vs Styles run though.

I fear Vince could create a draft that will destroy Smackdown. AJ, Ambrose, Cena, Corbin and Wyatt to Raw in exchange for Sheamus, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Rusev and Mark Henry.
Raw's his baby and he destroyed Smackdown before.

Question: Why is Smackdown attendance better then RAW?
Answer: Alexa Bliss & AJ Styles

Couple things...
TV ratings don't reflect this.
And aren't SD tickets cheaper than Raw? I would argue that that plays as big of a role in attendance as anything else.
