I think it depends on how he's booked really there's so many variables. If he were to turn heel, he comes off quite arrogant and cocky as a face, he wouldnt have to change his persona at all. I'd book him exactly the same so the IWC still dont like him, the kids will boo him too. If he carries on as a face I dont see much changing. It'd be interesting to know how "over" he really is, I mean the kids and women seem to love him, its just the male fans that dont and they also happen to be the ones with the loudest voices so its hard to tell just by audio evidence at shows etc I guess his merch sales go to show he's doing something right, theres no evidence to show that the Reigns character is failing / making a loss. Sure people spend time typing up hate messages and whatnot but nothing has really changed in the sense of booking him different. I think merchandise sales are a poor indication of drawing power when it's the only positive metric they have. To my knowledge, Roman Reigns has never been number one. I'm not entirely sure he's ever even been number two. According to Dave Meltzer, he is routinely in the "top 5." But then you have to take into consideration the number of items he has available, versus the guys below him (or even at his level) on the card. The top guys are going to get a lot more merchandise, and a lot more real estate at the merchandise stands at live events. If Roman Reigns has 6 items for sale at a given show, versus, say, Sami Zayn's one t-shirt, there would be a HUGE problem if Roman Reigns wasn't beating out Sami Zayn. This is just a total estimation, but you get the point. Top guys being pushed in top positions sell a lot of merchandise almost by default. There is no evidence to suggest that that you couldn't take any reasonable character on the roster, push them the same way Roman Reigns has been pushed for the last three years, give them the same amount of merchandise, and expect them to do the same amount in merchandise sales, give or take a few marginal percentage points. And I say that because there's no other metric that shows Roman Reigns is a draw. Ratings have declined sharply since he's become the focal point of the show (a burden he shares with bad storytelling and three hour Raws), attendance is down at Raw brand house shows, and the vocal majority boos him out of the building every single night. His run on top has, at best, maintained a level of status quo, but realistically, it's been a negative for the company. If Reigns had a bunch of positive metrics behind him to back up his position (the way Cena did, and still does), it would be a totally different conversation. But, honestly, the only thing you can point to is that his merchandise sells okay relative to other guys who have less product to push. From what I heard he was number 3 at some point last year but for how long I'm not sure. Having said that I find that it really depends on the t shirt itself. If I was a Goldberg fan I would have no interest in buying that ugly grey shirt he currently wears.

He's a failed pet project that Vince refuses to give up on. He can't cut it as the top babyface. He's not necessarily a failure as a performer because he's one of the best on the roster.
The only remedy is to turn him heel and let the audience see a different side to him. Anyone who argues otherwise is just flat out stupid. You have a guy who is continuously hated by the audience, and no matter what the company does to give him more rub as a babyface, he's constantly hated. He's arguably the biggest heel on the roster, so just go with it. He'll come out looking better at the end of it.

If they turned him heel he'd probably be over tomorrow.

The only to save Roman is if they turn him heel and have him go with that for a while and then turn him face.

Not without a MAJOR heel run which honestly we might be getting.
I PRAY he's not just playing the heel role for the Taker feud but they teased it once already the night after Mania last year so it wouldn't surprise me if that is all that it is.

Of course not. He will never connect with the fans as a babyface, and Vince will never turn him heel. So, if you plan on continuing to watch, get ready for the exact same Roman Reigns for the next ten years.

If another babyface comes along in the next 2 years that gets the "don't tell me who to like, Vince, you're not my real dad" hate then Reigns will get less of it, like Cena has had less of it since Reigns came along. Other than that, it'll keep being the same deal. And it's unlikely that there'll be another babyface like that now, since most new top guys will likely come from NXT, where they will already have enough of an Internet score to not get that heat.
At this point, it is what it is. We either get a top babyface like Roman Reigns who gets hated for not having a high enough Internet score, or we get a top babyface like Finn Balor who people don't particularly care about when he's wrestling other guys with high Internet scores. There's a reason Money in the Bank 2011's WWE title match was more memorable than SummerSlam 2016's Universal title match.

If they change his booking, yes. If they leave it as is, no.

I'm assuming what you mean by him getting over is getting the right reaction for his character, whether that be cheered as a face or booed as a heel. If they continue his current push without turning him heel, I only see everything getting worse. Vince thinks the same formula that got Hogan over in the 80's still works, but it doesn't. Most adult male fans, which is the majority of WWE's audience, want a relatable character like Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, or Kevin Owens. Kids like the larger than life Superman characters that don't look vulnerable and always overcome the odds for the win. Unfortunately for us that hate Roman's push, the latter is what WWE is geared towards right now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. As I said in another recent thread, the Roman Reigns heel turn will be just like the John Cena heel turn, a myth that is always strongly rumored and wanted by fans, but everyone knows deep down that it will always be just that, a myth and a rumor. As long as Vince McMahon has his way, Super Roman will always be on top.

To become the face of WWE -- and the biggest face in WWE -- they HAVE to turn him heel first. Hopefully his match with the Undertaker at WM is the beginning of that.

Not until the mob mentality of the crowd that forces them all to chant for CM Punk, that stuff is awesome, that everyone deserves it, and that holy s*** goes away. Hating Roman Reigns is totally in right now.

He is overly over, he is the most polarizing superstar, since Cena skyrocketed to the top, he gets the biggest pop in the company whether its boo's or cheers, whether you love or hate him, he puts on matches that get you involved and watching , it isn't like he is putting on a toilet show every night ,
