When I was a kid, I painted my LJN Ricky Steamboat's pants white. It turned out great and he was my favorite wrestler so it was a total victory. Fast forward to the year 2013 when I attempted to do the same with legends Ricky Steamboat. Yeah, no, it was an epic fail. In my defense, I didn't try very hard so I got out of it what I put in. It's terrible.

My E17 Mankind took a 6 foot dive off the top of the cell (aka my display) and lost both his legs. Luckily that was days after he first came out so I just ordered another.

I've never had a figure fall and break, that's still a crazy concept to me considering how durable they are.
I can't say I regret ruining the Jakks Ruthless Aggression Jamie Noble bc I never really cared for it but when I was like 13 I wrapped him in medical tape and painted his face with sharpie and called him "The Destroyer" pretty laughable looking back now, such a terrible idea and execution.

Mattel ruined by Elite John Cena figures because of how the armbands crack. This is also a reason why Mattel should always put shirts with Cena figures. At least the shirt would cover the arm so you forget the armband cracked.
This led me to swapping arms with basic figures so the armband is painted on. Does this count as ruining figures?

The Armband cracked and broke on my BAF Paul Heyman Cena. So I guess I'm one of those statistics

I didn't exactly ruin it, but I got a cheap Liz loose to turn into Sherri, her leg was warped when she arrived and when trying to straighten it the hip peg snapped off in her leg. Tried to fix it made it worse, now she just lays mangled in a box of parts. Sucks that she's so expensive to replace too.

I've ruined figures, but none I regret doing so to. It's usually because I bought it on sale with a specific plan for it, or I couldn't find a way to trade it.
I do regret the time I moved and left a box with E11 Del Rio, E3 HBK, E1 Undertaker, E6 Batista and E6 Punk at my mother's boyfriend's. They disappeared. I know his son knows where they are, he has to dammit!

Legends Mr. Perfect and Elite Curtis Axel. I was trying to do a height adjustment for Mr. Perfect by swapping out the knees and calves from Axel. I stretched each too far and now each figure is taller than before. All is well now that I have HOF Perfect in my display.

The figure I destroyed the most is my own. Cool ranch Doritos are my weakness

Several Legends Bulldogs, Kerry Von Erichs, Hacksaws, Funks were sacrificed for parts. I took the white boots of one of my NWO Savages. I removed the designs off All Stars Punks boots with acetone. I know there's more.

I don't paint any of my figures unless I have dupes. However my dad gets bored and uses anything, and I mean anything, to doodle on figures. Sharpie, white out, nail polish...he's ruined several divas of mine including my Velvet Sky which I loved. But I popped the heads off and swapped bodies. Still irks me though. So I took a bunch of his rare Marvel Legends and messed them up

RSE Brock. He fell from my top shelf, left leg popped off. I super glued it back on and it looks ok.
But I know.Laughed so hard at this. Truest statement ever. I've paid exorbitant prices for a second figure because I knew.
