ABA taker was amazing, granted it was probably the biggest gimmick change for a wrestler in a long time, but it worked and it had a great ending leading to the return of the Deadman

Big Evil 2003 era for me, Undertaker had more of personality and was a believable tough guy.

what in the hell is the difference between ABA & Big Evil? His look mostly. Also using different themes. I don't see it as a different gimmick at all, more so just a heel turn. He went from the badass respected bringer of justice on a bike to a destructive (aside from his fued with Hogan) respect driven heel on a bike.. oh and he got a haircut and dropped his hideous denim for leather. I will say that I thought his first "American Badass" theme was really lame, I enjoyed the Big Evil theme and the Rollin Theme but his debut ABA theme was trash IMO. Also if they truly are different era's of the Undertaker then his best mic work came from his "Big Evil" gimmick. His stuff with Austin & Angle is hilarious.

Dunno about 'best, but I loved his '97-98 run as The Phenom was my favourite iteration.

I was a sucker for Big Evil/heel/biker Taker. He cut great promos, showed weakness, and was more based in reality. I think him from 1996-1998 had him showing more "Weakness" Troubles beating Mankind, Betrayal of Paul Bearer, Troubles beating Shawn and DX and being stalked by Kane and Bearer and beaten down and almost destroyed by the two. I think 1996-98 made him seem more human than anything. I always thought of Biker taker as coming off as big cranky old man "This is my yard (get off my lawn)" Taker. It had it's moments. But when I want to remember Taker, I prefer his 1996-98 Phenom "Conscience of the WWF" as JR would refer to him in that time period, run.

Ministry of Darkness undertaker was the best since I liked the look of the character, theme, titantron and how dark it was especially the sacrifices. I never liked the ABA gimmick because it was so generic and we have had other superstars portray bikers like the disciples of apocalypse that's all the ABA reminded me off...

Purple is my personal favorite as it was a really cool look and symbolises the time when his work rate really started to increase and he was putting on awesome matches.
I have a soft spot for grey gloves too just because of how badass it looked.

Hard one to answer.
I voted 98 Taker because he was pretty awesome from 96-98 with his feuds with Mankind and Kane. He also started to show more character like when he went to the graveyard and talked to his parent's Tombstones about facing his own flesh and blood. He started using his best theme during this time too (Dark Side).

Big Evil / ABA.
It was the only time that I didn't hate the Undertaker character. Even if I liked his ring work, the gimmick has eyes made my eyes roll out of my head. I loved his character as Big Evil.

American Badass/Big Evil since it's the 'truest' version of his charcater. How so? For 10 years he had been the deadman and then suddenly this impostor riding a bike arrives and claims to be The Undertaker. Exactly!

Ministry 'Taker was the time he had the most "character" and it was some of his best work in the gimmick. But my 2nd favorite would be the gimmick where he wrestled 5 star matches against HBK, HHH, etc. with the Wrestlemania streak on the line ABA was ok at the time, but it's extremely overrated.Amen!

I don't care. Just as long as we don't have JR calling him "Booger Red" anymore.
