For all you guys from Philly(like myself) or have visited here, what is your favorite spot to get a cheesesteak? For me John's, Pat's and Jim's are all awesome.

I've always been partial to Steve's myself. Something about those steak patties versus chopped.
Absolutely hate Jim's. I scoff every time I walk past it.

Jim's I first tried pats and genos and they was hardly anything inside the sandwich. Definitely a tourist trap. Jim's hooks it up nice and tastes much better.

All about johns roast pork. Most satisfying meal ive ever eaten.
Also, tony lukes rules.
Both with in walking distance of ecw arena.
Jims is great too, always a big line though.
Genos is good to grab late at night.
I love philly

I've never been to philly but I feel like I should have. I don't care about cheesesteak but I'd like to see some historic sights of our old nations capital.

Steves Steaks by far.
The only other place that I LOVE and will go out of my way to get is a place called Rainbow Mart in Bensalem PA. It's not known at all but their cheesesteaks are literally my favorite. And I've lived in Philly for my entire life.
Pats and Genos are 100% overrated.
Tony Lukes is pretty damn good.

I don't live in Philly but I've been there a few times. The one place I always make sure to eat at least once per trip is Pandora's Lunchbox on Walnut Street. They have a good cheesesteak. Probably nothing extraordinary but very good. I generally go for their pasta dishes though.
On a side note, last time I was in Philly I was very disappointed to find out Marabella Meatballs closed.

I just wish I could find a good cheesesteak outside of Philly

As small as it sounds one of my dreams is to go to Philly, see the 76ers, have a cheesesteak and run up the Rocky steps. Back in 2001 I worked in the USA at a summer camp and I actually planed to do some travelling round the states for a little bit after with Philly being one of my destinations. I ended up tearing my knee up pretty bad and having to fly back to the UK before I could though

Pats and Genos are a joke... tourist traps if you ask me... SoS and Talk of the Town.. Well said my friend. Jim's all day baby. Jim's I first tried pats and genos and they was hardly anything inside the sandwich. Definitely a tourist trap. Jim's hooks it up nice and tastes much better. Yeah they do. Tony Luke's is decent too. But if I want a real genuine cheesesteak...its Jim's. tony Luke's is a little different, but still good.
