My wife knows once Ken Shamrock is officially announced and up for pre-order, he's on his way to my shrine. There will also be multiple purchases of said figure in retail, none of which will be claimed by my offspring but all of which will belong to captain two thumbs here.
I told her I was buying Ken Shamrock. You know what I said? (Looks around suspiciously) I said... I said (whispers) "biiiiiiiiiiiiiit*h. I'm buying that figure because I'm a man and I'll buy what I want." (Looks around suspiciously)

My wife collects Funky pops, I love finding her new ones. I collect WWE Elites, she hate it. Seriously I never hear the end of it. She gets 60$ to 90$ fir her finger nails each month. Plus buy funkos like crazy. She bitched so much recently I sold my entire collection off. I gave 4 WWE retro, and 1 cactus jack elite. She has over 100 funkos. I'm sorry, man. That sounds unfair. It was a nice gesture you did, regardless of the reasons behind it. At the very least, someone recognizes that sacrifice, even if it's just some stranger.

i really want to know now... All these 'she supports my hobby' ones are no fun. She's not supportive of my collecting at all. Which is funny because she got me two rare-ass figures as a gift before we got married. Now she hates it and gives me crap about it a lot. It's very frustrating. I only buy stuff very rarely now (a combination of limited funds do to school and don't want the grief). It's frustrating missing out on something I'll never find at retail (Goldust, AJ, KO) that I could easily get on Amazon (sometimes cheaper), but I can't because if she sees it, it'll cause a 2 hour argument. So I have to sneak around at retail like a criminal or skip it (95% of the time) entirely. But if she wants some more clothes/shoes she'll never wear, "Sure, honey!" Obviously I'm more than a little frustrated/resentful, but toys/clothes are just a symptom of much bigger issues. Ask me again in a year and I'm sure the answer will be, "Who?"

Wifey doesn't get it and isn't really a fan, but at least she says "I don't care, it's your money." So that's something.

She's not my spouse yet, but she thinks it's cool I have a hobby that I take such interest and pride in. She also likes how I do some custom work for myself. She loves art so anything like that makes her smile.
She knows I love Taker. Taker merch was half my Christmas.

My fiancee is cool with it. She doesnt know what I have or what I want, so she doesnt hunt for me or anything like that (not that she could ... we only have 2 Walmarts) but she doesn't look down on it.
I have a keeper, that's for surez

Well when you just work 7 days a week 10 hours a day and only have so much to buy I guess it's a blessing I don't have to share my earnings lol. By the way core Austin aries looks great just got him.

My wife really didn't like them and wanted me to sell my collection, but her mother and sister came over and thought that my figure collection was really cool and they changed some of the poses and asked who certain wrestlers were.
Ever since that day, she has been really cool about them and even suggested that our new house has a figure room when we move.

True story: when we first started dating, I had her over to my apartment and didn't have anything out. Then after I got more comfortable I put out CS1 Bret Hart and JUST him. Then the net time I put out Bret & Shawn. Then the next time I put out Bret, Shawn, Austin, & Taker. Then eventually I let her know that I had a ton of figs.
She told me later that had I had them all out on display the first time she came over she wouldn't have stayed with me. I believe her too, which is why I played it the way I did.

My wife is usually cool with it unless I get manic about finding someone. She also doesn't get why I buy multiples but she's accepted it

My wife is really cool about it. She always checks the Wal-Mart and Target by her work for me. If not for her I wouldn't have HOF4 Lawler yet.

My wife just bought me 12 figs for my birthday, she's fine with it. She also loves to go out hunting with me. I have a large bookshelf, and two of the long floating shelves from Ikea in the house that I can display on. Anything else has to go in the garage, that's our compromise. I also collect Marvel Legends, I have about 75 of those. All of the Marvel figures are displayed in my cubicle at work.

It's neither here or there with my wife! She won't go out on her own accord and get me figs as a surprise (unless it's for Xmas or a birthday) but will happily go on a hunt if I ask her to, she kicks up a fuss about the price of some figs but then just recently I purchased a hot toys marty mcfly and i caught her looking at it in the cabinet and she said 'yeh that's cool' which she's never said about my wrestling collection!!

My wife saw the 36 inch or whatever size it was Brock in Toys R Us a couple weeks ago and said under no circumstances can I get that, lol. She knows I only collect the figures tho.

I've only been collecting for about 1 1/2 years and my wife encourages the hobby at times and occassionally tells me that I need to slow down (when a lot of cool stuff is hitting).
On a side note, it's nice to see a thread without any bickering. Cheers people.
